After tusslin' with this asshole for the last 3 hours, i just nailed the bastard. Here's what i did. First phase, i used Imposing Stab on him religiously while deflect countering his criticals. I avoided him during his fire phase and used Deadly Bog during his ice phase. Deadly Bog block all ice attacks and trips the douchebag up. The asshole's poison attacks aren't that lethal but his lightning attacks can be blocked easily and if you time it right when he does his electrical wave, you can get in some free hits. Second phase, i put distance from him and me. First, i went after him when his dragon companion was spraying an elemental wave, i got in some free hits using Imposing Stab. Second, i avoided his fire attacks and used Deadly Bog djring his ice phase. When he does his duel electrical swords attack, put distance between you and him. Its ideal to attack him just after he finishes an attack. Overall, I stayed on the move and was ready for everything he could throw at me. Secondary peice of advice, use the bsttle as a way of learning his second phase. I did this and i got beat a couple thousand times but i didnt give up. That's how I got him! Also, it helps to have light armor equipped. I had the Fierce Zhang Fei set and I used the Invictus Serpent Spear thruout the battle.
Just to let u know, when messmer gets to second phase, if u dodge rhe explotion and immediately do a charge heavy attack, that attack will damage him twice
Man I dont know why giant hunt just does that some times, you can be looking right at a stationary enemy and your character attacks the air beside them for some reason. It's a constant pain point for me in the memsmer boss fight!
Suppose it was the position where I started. His body kind hover over and partially behind. Noticed it happened with the last boss and a certain other boss, which screwed me over a couple of times that I just completely miss for whatever reason. 😩 Git gud on my part, though.

At the start of every lunar new year, everyone from the kids to the elderly all shut themselves in and hid within their homes. The villagers dreaded chinese new year for many many years. This was until a wise sage visited the village and told them what Nian was afraid of. Loud noises, fire and the colour red. And so the next time Nian came, the villagers fought back. They banged on their drums, lit all the firecrackers they could find, and wore the colour red from head to toe. Nian ran away and never came back. The villagers then started celebrating new year, instead of fearing it. This would be later be known as the first chinese new year. The tradition is now celebrated yearly all over the world. Yeah i gave up on this one fully after the 40th attempt. Until this is nerfed I'm not fuckong doing this one. I beat Lu Bu first try no problem, this is just ridiculous honestly
Of all I went through so far, this.... Still is my favourite boss so far. I've even gone through a whole bunch of bosses now and Divine Beast has been the most entertaining so far. Looking forward to the other bosses soon!
Been a long time playing NG3.... But I think you had to do the Competitive Multiplayer in order to unlock the weapons. It was different compared to Razor's Edge.
Fun fact only time majima loses is to kiryu or when the story needs him too always remember the MAD DOG OF SHIMANO RIVALS THE DRAGON OF DOJIMA, for a reason if were being cannon majima has only ever lost to kiryu in canon unless the stiry says otherwise 😂
