Great music, including recent stuff. But he's also a hypocrite. He left 'drunken, violent" UK due to violence and moved his family to the US. The BLM riots started and Numan actually supported these rioters. So - when violence directly affected him, apparently bad. When the violence does not directly affect him, good? BLM - same group that burned and destroyed businesses and private property. BLM - same group responsible for at least 25 deaths during their violent riots. Same group that received $millions from their 'supporters' who then bought themselves mansions.
I love Gary Numan, his music is my fav ever and he’s so awesome. I would never imagine he felt fear performing till I read his book. He’s beyond amazing now, just saw him again and have tickets for March 2024.
Someone needs to let Gary know that he's hardly the only guy to ever say he's retiring from music, then not. The fact he didn't have another hit song is hardly due to one slip at Wembley.
Its like the original is how my isolation and anxiety felt when i was 16 vs this version is how it feels now 20 years after when im 36 - now its kinda easier and (perhaps) more wholesome yet i still miss those earlier harsher but brighter days
Sounds great. I first saw Gary Numan in concert at the Hammersmith Odeon when Cars was number one in the charts in 1979. I saw him again a couple of years ago live in concert in Worthing 👍
