Audio mixture could be improved. Either you dont understand the dialog or the sound effects and music is way too loud. Its really a pitty because it makes it hard to really enjoy the film which seems otherwise great.
Thank you for the feedback! I have yet to understand why the audio is clear on certain playback systems and not on others. Plenty of people have said the opposite of this but others have said the same as you. I've done a ton of research on the topic since this film was released because it did confuse me a bit. I'll continue to learn and grow from these mistakes as I pursue filmmaking and hopefully not make this mistake again.
The vision of detectives is more credible;one Batman invizible to the public end autorities end criminals...real investigation of police, real vision of Gothan very good!
This was incredibly well written and cinematically creative! I love how he doesn't show up until the last 5 minutes. This is a great portrayal of every day life in Gotham. WELL DONE!!!!!
I don't believe Montoya was in those movies. They had a female detective named Anna Ramirez that was a supporting character in that movie though. However, I would say she was more misguided/manipulated than a bad cop. She only betrayed Dent and GCPD because her family was in danger or being threatened.
Awesome film. Love seeing a film centered on Montoya and her partner which captures the more mythic nature of Batman and the mysteriousness of the Riddler. Bravo.
If you think about doing a sequel to this, I would like for you guys to bring in Kate Kane, everybody loves her relationship with Renee and we won't be seeing that relationship depicted any time soon, I just want to see those two together in live-action.
Well I'll be honest. At first I assumed the quality of the film would be based on the view count. But I was wrong. This is a very good film and I can say is the only fan film of any genre I have seen, that doesn't feel like a fan film. It was shot very well. Good job. I think the story is very good and focusing on characters other than batman actually was really interesting and added a unique and fresh spin on things.
Thank you so much for saying that! As a filmmaker I'm always worried about quality based on my resources and what I can afford but the team I was able to find did a truly amazing job and I'm glad it's able to entertain people the way it is 🙂
I wrote this script in 2018 and we wrapped filming in early 2019 before the details of the new Batman film were announced so the fact that they are similar just turned out to be coincidence. I think theirs will be a bit darker than mine for sure haha
Holy crap I’m speechless I been looking for some inspiration to do a Batman fan film myself and this has lit the flames for me. Excellent work here my friend. You should be proud
Yes! The song is called Day Of Domination (Epic Instrumental) by fearlessmotivation. The original place I was able to get it from did not credit them correctly.
@@xenogestudios4285 It seems that the ending part of "Day Of Domination" sounded whole lot different, possibly slower than one I remember hearing it from the ending credits. But then I just found out the song I've actually been looking for is "Next Level", which is also orchestrated by FearlessMotivation. Thanks, anyway.
I have watched dozens of Batman movies and shows, and seen him abscond with crime scene evidence countless times. And yet, I have never once been irritated by it... Until 27:13. The LOOK on Montoya's face says it all, I feel her pure unfiltered frustration lol. I'm just like "wtf Bruce, they needed that" This film is like, really amazing! I'm shocked more people haven't seen it. I'm 30 minutes in and I love it. The pacing is really slow and it's all just focussed on Montoya and Cohen, so it could SO easily be boring, but it isn't at ALL. The acting in this is truly impressive. There are parts in the first few minutes where Cohen stutters and pauses, but it sounds SO natural, like how a real human would speak. The actor just roles with it, sooo convincing. And Montoya is phenomenal, I totally understand her distrust of Batman, and her constant apprehension toward people, because she's constantly condescended to. These two are great leads, I'm loving this story. It's highly atmospheric, not a ton of music and the movie feels no obligation to speed from one scene to the next; it just shows us life in Gotham as a cop, and it reels you in because of the amazing acting/writing! And I loved the bit where Eddie Nash revealed his name, and how the music flares up. Like, the film KNOWS we know who "Eddie Nash" is... I'm invested in this, thanks so much for making it and releasing it!
1:07:44 Best cop reaction to Batman ever, hands down WOW, bravo!! I just finished watching and god, the ending is the best part. Riddler is played perfectly, he totally looks the part and his wit and grandiose manner of speech are just SO him. I'm glad we got to see so much of him in the end. And the idea of him being an innocent whistleblower who was framed for murder... Damn, that makes a LOT of sense for him. He's so obsessed with proving himself to people and revealing the "true answer" to things, even through his own twisted means, so this origin honestly explains a lot of his psychology. And when the names spelled out Batman... Daaaamn, that's the coolest thing ever. Even after focussing on Montoya and Cohen the whole movie, Riddler's main aim is STILL Batman. And as for Batman himself; you did him perfectly. Keeping him in the shadows the whole movie worked flawlessly. This is the only movie I've seen where I experience Batman the way the cops and civilians do; as this stealthy, invisible specter whose heroic actions are the only conspicuous thing about him. And I love how we finally got to see him in full view at the end, he looks and sounds amazing. The voice modifier was a great choice, I was NOT expecting him to sound so cool haha. And he looks amazing too, the chin is perfect and the cowl expression is so vengeful haha. I like how the movie isn't about him, so by the time we see Batman, it's awesome, but we're still mainly invested in Montoya and Cohen, who, again, are both great leads. You guys hit this out of the park, this is legit one of the best Batman movies I've ever seen!
@@MasterOfTheLemons I am absolutely floored by your kind words. Thank you so much for your review and compliments! Being a newer filmmaker, I'm always nervous to release my work because I know some people may not like my decisions on what I choose to do with the characters. So I'm ecstatic to hear that you enjoyed the characters and film! I still have my own criticisms and wish I had a budget to make the film what I wanted it to be but just knowing that I was able to entertain a few people makes the whole thing worthwhile :)
My only critique was that the audio problem, the music was sometimes loud and the characters are quite so I can barley hear. And Ilbatman was barley in here. But those are the only things I had issue with
Thank you for your feedback. Totally understand the audio concern as we didn't have an audio guy and worked with what we had as this film had no budget. I will strive to provide better quality films as I continue to pursue making them.
Thank you so much for saying that! I tried to mix a lot of my favorite elements from Nolan to Burton and even the animated series. Always been a huge fan of different versions of these characters and I just wanted to play with something that would bring those elements together 😁
@@osmanyousif7849 I seriously considered writing bullock as the other detective but I wasn't able to find an actor that would portray him the way he should have been that would have honored the character
@@xenogestudios4285 I've always wanted to see a live adaptation of an episode from batman the animated series called "the trial" or "trial" it's a great concept!
Most of the music I got permission for was pulled from different copyrighted properties. I'm not sure if I can make a score without creating an issue. A good portion of the music came from audio network :)
