Great! Actually this Shotokan reminds me of something from the 1960's, where we were more interested in 'how something worked' than whether it looked nice or not. Back then it was a case of Function over Form, with the style improving as we polished it.
This is green belt Kata. It teaches to use HorseStance. It’s your first foray into kiva Dachi. First two. Gets you use to doing front stance and back stance. That is the real focus. Eventually you move to Yondan,Godan. Those are the first beginning Kata. It’s not so much about application. Then getting use to the stance. Cause any plication can be used in any stance. As we move to higher more defined Katas. Like Gangaku. Lots of one legged crane stance. Or Kangkudai. With its very big movements.
Thank you for your gentle commentary. We have already produced some more movies, which will be published during the next months. Bassai Dai is going to be filmed. The next movie will be something completely different, then followed by Tekki Shodan. When and where will you perform your exam and who will be the examiner?
