How do you come in to this type of job / career from a completely different job industry like food service, restaurant. To come in to a career that is more of wellness even if you little to no experience . Is front desk ok.. can you rise in experience job position , have a foot in the door with this career. Not sure if I’ve made my inquiry clear.
I’ve always worked in restaurant and food service most of my life and I had to go to a massage school to change my career path. In this kind of field you can’t really just get a front desk job and move up without proper certification/license. You would need to continue your education and receive a licensed in a profession to do that actual job. But starting at the front desk does help you get a feel for it and get your foot in.
Just say to them politely wel come in to our hotel and just invite them welcoming fresh juice + if you have a lobby in your hotel tell to them to take short seat!

Me and my friends do feel uncomfortable when they ask "Are you here for the appointment?" it's like "don't just walk in if you don't have one". i hope people would follow you advice and just ask us what do we want. I mean, hardly anyone just go into a spa for a prank.
