Create a credit union for auroville to fund the house, and to own the house you need to work for certain years until you pay for the house. To calculate the value in relation to the price of gold or better calories. Price of calories stay constant. you can take wheat/sugar or anything. Credit union will create funds to finance projects like bridges or small houses or better small and medium size towers to more people can live on small land and majority of land can be stayed green. Credit union could be used to create auroville currency fixed to the Indian rupee more like bitcoin and to be used for creation of credit. In the long run whoever live in auroville and have contributed will get returns annually so the more time passes by the more economically sound the community will become.
This is not just about the sadistically evil act of sexual exploitation of children; It’s also a prime example of gentrification/colonialism: Where caucasian people slink in and take over prime relestate (always near water) on a melanated people's land. This has been happening all over the world. It's been happening in New Orleans, LA (in what is known as America), since Hurricane Katrina. Whites have worked diligently to gentrify what is called the ninth ward. In this ward, blacks have owned their usually meager homes and properties for over 50 plus years. The hurricane and the surrounding aftermath were used to disposesse black land/home owners of properties that were held in their families for generations.
@VikramRamFilms sorry for the truthful comment I know it hurts and stings a little but I am just being honest with you. Otherwise, great content and meaningful work you are doing to let the truth be heard.
Yes, many who have the true spirit. Auroville is a Dream of the Mother, the purest forms exist in places other than where She envisioned unfortunately - 605101 - that place is irreparable.
I've been living in Goa since 1984 and the changes from then till now are horrifying. Breaks my heart to see Goa turning into another commercial city 😢
As a person who has been a frequent visitor and participant in Auroville community, even though I do not appreciated the methods and approaches of the current government fully, I found this very interesting narration from one of the sides, well made! I appreciate the ideas and the film the director has put forward and I also believe that it is true in many aspects! the bald guy(sorry his name was not mentioned) I felt was speaking from lot of fears, not all Indians think they are below everyone. Lot of us do not fear a foreigner, we are not living in old ages. We are not doing anyone favour by following Atithi Devo Bhava! No one is asking you to do it out of your will. This fear based narrative we don’t need. If there is an issue we need to find solution. Instead of painting the whole town red. There are many beautiful people who have given a big part of their life to exploration in Auroville, they are kind and they are following the path of karma yoga. Many love an idea of international community, as we meet people different from us, which also help us broaden our perspective on life and divine. Like the perspective and information two women shared. I wait for the balance. Where our government and Auroville can come together to refine the beauty and energy Auroville holds. I would have also liked to see the other sides, where so many people feel in tune with Auroville energy but may be it’s for the next film :) Love is the only way. Forgiveness is the key. ❤ Edit: I felt I need to make it clear in my post that no way I support people not answering for their misdoings. Specially if there is a complain against them, this I also believe is one of the places Auroville has failed. I have also have experienced through others where they have not found justice. Not to say Auroville is the only place it happens. Happens in every nook and corner of India and the world. Hence it is important to have some rules in actions. Self governance is what mother wanted but I believe we are far from achieving that!
There is no help I can provide but put facts out. Rest, you need to contact Auroville Foundation with two Governors on board. I am sure they will resolve things, hopefully.
So beautiful ! remember when Isi told me about her dream sooooo many years ago in Ibiza, I couldn't help but trust and believe her, because her intentions were so clear and pure. Well done her and well done the whole family, and well done the creator of this vlog !
Wow i just looking into auroville and was fascinated by it and wanted to be a part of it. These videos are super informative if they are purely factual
Saw the corruption first hand in Auroville. If you’re not European, you’re not welcome. It’s sad. I have many close friends there. I hope things turn out better for them.
AUROVILLE IS JUST A GIMMICK & BEEHIVE FOR A CERTAIN GROUP OF VILLAINS, ENJOYING HONEY @COST OF FOREIGNERS MONEY. TAMIL NADU GOVT. SHOULD TAKE OVER MANAGEMENT IMMEDIATELY.
This was incredibly good! I’m in Auroville for the second time to stay a week. I did think about joining and then I read their info on how that process works and immediately, alarm bells went off. They want people to come in with a minimum of 15 lakhs, pay their own way for two or three years with no definite timeline for becoming a newcomer and then an Aurovillian. You have to build your own house and pay for it on their land, so that if they boot you out of their community cult, you’ve lost your house and your money. Plus the managers of this guesthouse I’m staying in have proven to me that aurovillians can be villainous and horrible. This is not a good place to come back to
I was in the same situation. I came there, and I adored south India when I saw the beautiful greenery. I am from the north but immigrated out of India. I was astonished that they need 4 years of your life to waste just so you can put a name into them considering the application. Secondly the 20 lakh (2 million) rupees cost was like what are they talking about, and then the guest house I was staying at was made by someone else. I had so many ideas of creating employment and other educational institutions in auroville but I was disappointing that it was just a rip off essentially. To create a sustainable community and a sufficient market they should allow people especially younger ones (like me) should be leased land on 5 month contracts in exchange of 80% of the production, only to be renewed to see what a person can do, so more farms can be established and more food can be produced. The had a model of keeping scarcity so they can have a good control of population. Majority of the food came form outside even though the land and climate is perfect to grow surplus of food - fruits, dairy etc. And they had a monopoly as well for certain businesses. I was thinking about creating cheese workshop but they said that there is already one cheese maker. Very weasel like altitude.
Do you hate the BBC or the report of facts? Let's wake up to what is happening in our country first. Such ignorant souls with hate for something they have no clue of.
