Just stick to being a Pharmacy Tech. Paying upfront for surgeries is nothing new in the USA. It's been happening for more than a decade with certain hospital systems.
You're using 'girl math'. If the out-of-pocket cost goes down to one-third of what it had been, and later returns to the original out-of-pocket cost, the cost has NOT "tripled". You're an alarmist.
