I have shot benelli every since the original super black eagle and have loved them the only one I have had issue with is the Vinci I currently shoot the sbe3 in 12 and 20 gauge and I am rough with them and have had no issues
Lucky I guess.. we have several of these heaters and this is the only one we used a big bottle on and the only one we have problems with.. and it worked great for 2 years before, right up until we used the big bottle…
I had the same problem with the ohmic being super unreliable after a couple cuts or when the torch got wet, going to try that direct ground clamp method. I have the ring around the torch as well so I'll try the Romex thing as well if the ground clamp doesn't fix it
I'm actually working on my table right now trying to figure out how you did this, I have a jumper between my ohmic/material pin and + voltage on the divided voltage output, and then on ohmic/shield I have the wire that goes to the torch head around the collar. Nothing coming out of the electrode/torch negative because that is already wired into the divided voltage negative pin @@OldBarkerRanch1981
I know I had a single wire that ran from the voltage divider all the way to the torch head where I connected it to the Romex. The Romex was isolated from the torch (it only touched plastic).
@@OldBarkerRanch1981 think I found the issue. My ohmic sensor was touching the shield on my torch. So now I just need to do the Romex trick. Did you just use calipers to figure out the height? It needs to be the same height as the shield so it touches the material at the same time as the torch right?
Thank you for the video. I have the kit for the v2403 engine…pictures in the instructions look nothing like my engine…this will be quite the learning experience.
@@OldBarkerRanch1981 I put the 4dpf emulator in my 2014 Kubota KX080-4 excavator and it just went through regen after 50 hours for some reason. I thought it was never supposed to do that again after I deleted it. It used to regen every 30 hours or so before.
@@jonathansmith3031 the system still has the NOX filter in the exhaust (the NOX doesn’t cause any problems) so it will still regen although you will have longer times between regens. And the new regen doesn’t use DEF, it only modifies injector timing to burn a little hotter. The DPF is the problem child and it should be gone.
@@OldBarkerRanch1981 I've had the entire exhaust apart and I don't believe there is a NOX filter, and my machine never took DEF fluid. It's a 2014. It only had the DPF filter.
Chinese made junk. Took mine apart and cleaned all the tubing of zero oils, cleaned pilot light hole (even with carb cleaner) and nothing came out. The flame is blue, but tiny and useless. In the garbage it goes. Just buy another one since these are not repairable. Mine has a lot more tubing inside it than this one does.
If benelli's guns were as good as there marketing they would be the only gun manufacturer in the world. They know that the US market hates high shooting guns , but they keep putting the damn high ribs on them anyway. Theirs better guns than benelli at a quarter of the price....... I have personally been thru three benelli's over the years..... I tried to like them , didn't work out
I have a Kubota L3901 it has a regen system, it's a pain in the @$$, about every 15 hours, I have to rev the engine nearly to redline for about 15-30 minutes. Emissions are ruining everything diesel.
@@OldBarkerRanch1981 My engine has 900 hours and I need to get this done soon too. I have 100 on one cylinder and 65 on the other. greetings from the Netherland 😃
Mine is a 2011, same engine. Same exact problem. Was starting to think I’d have to sell it and really didn’t want to. Thanks for taking the trouble to post this video!
I believe they are 4 bolt but need to look, I will verify tomorrow. I will see if I can share the website where I got the parts breakdown and part numbers.
I’m replacing one of heads on my GX690 due to the spark plug hole damaged how can I get the piston rings compressed to get the heard on without open the crank case?
That’s a good one! I know the bottom edge of the jug was tapered so if you are really careful you could probably use a small pick or tiny flat head screwdriver to walk them in. Besides that would be a 2 piece ring compressor. I know at a bare minimum if you are that deep into the motor I would at least replace the rings in that cylinder.
I’ve been hoping someone would post a video of this system in action, thank you! Would you mind sharing ballpark cost? I’m beyond tired of regens on my M5660.
Well it so happens that I have an extra kit but… I don’t believe it fits the M5660. The kit for the 3.8L was just over 2k with the exhaust piece. You should definitely contact 4DPF.Com and see what they have for your machine!
@@OldBarkerRanch1981 This was exactly what I was hoping to find. Great video - Thanks. I also have an M5-111 (I'm in central Texas). I've had my DPF system go down twice. Luckily within warranty. Now outside of warranty so looking to head off the future problem I just know will happen. Are you interested in selling the extra kit? If so, I am interested in it. Not sure if you do installs or if it was just a favor for a friend, but if you did, I'd be interested in that as well, otherwise, doesn't seem too tricky of an install.
It’s common with the ware on these engines, it over hauled several with the rings doing this! Rings can’t take the heat and replace the plastic gears 😢ALL
How soon? I'm curious. Thanks for the video on this. My 2022 M5-111 hasn't had any DEF / REGEN related issues in the 2 years I've owned it, but I think they ironed most of them out by now, or hopefully they have. I heard they had total hell with them for a couple year prior to that though.
They absolutely did have problems with the earlier ones. What I have found is if you have the 4 speed gearbox, expect def problems. If you have the 6-Speed gearbox, seems they have been pretty good.
@@OldBarkerRanch1981 Wow, didn't know that. I have the 18 speed. 6 speed Hi/Lo with push button splitter. Reminds me of my old 1650D oliver with the instant under-drive.
Hey bro. I was told the lining sloughs off the hose and clogs lines. DON'T use a rubber hose. Use a braided steel line. Blow the lines out. Problem solved.
I've been really stumped and frustrated with my ESAB welder for this exact reason. Doing sheet metal repairs with lots of tack welds and from one second to the next it will alternate between perfect flat puddles to boogered up piles with seemingly nothing different. Checked grounds, gas, cleanliness, everything. Today I began suspecting it was an issue in the torch itself even though it doesn't have much use on it. Definitely checking this ASAP. Thanks for the tip!
@@OldBarkerRanch1981 Just to follow up, I took the torch apart and sure enough there was a large charred spot inside of it where the set screw holds it together. The current goes through that connection so it was arcing out apparently. Cleaned it all up and tightened it with some thread lock and the problem is solved!
Thats awesome!! I thought about using adhesive lined heat shrink but I worried about the twisting still messing with it.. Honestly I like the Yeswelder lead better anyway. It has been flawless and I have run 5 11Lb spools of wire through it since. Should be changing to my 6th tomorrow. Glad I at least got ya pointed in the right direction!
