After saying to Al it's probably a bad idea to start up, he climbed through us on Diedre as it started to rain. There he was, soloing above us in the main corner with his feet slipping around on the wet rock. Memorable and not in a good way. My partner asked, "What the ****** is he doing ?

did you leave a bit of the old rubber or did you remove it fully i have found removing the whole old rubber tends to make the sheo come out of shape or the rand layer may peel, maybe sanding down until there is about only 1mm or less of old rubber then applying new rubber

removing all of the old sole is the proper method

Awesome video. I noticed that the end result leaves shiny rubber on the bottom of resoled part of the shoe. Do you sand this down to give it that matt black sticky surface? Usually climbing shoe companies that sell rubber sheets send you a shiny side ( which is sanded down and glued onto the shoe) and a nicely evenly sanded side ( this is the side that touches the rock)

The people in the climbing community here are contagious. I saw hevy duty there last week just dicking around and we had an awesome chat. Anyways, cheers dude keep it up.

Il semble bien difficile de filmer en escalade sans accentuer la raideur de la paroi. Les arbres indiquent la verticale. Cette dalle inclinée n est pas verticale du tout comme semble nous montrer l image. Difficile surement. Mais image faussée.
