Slow is fast as they train us but geez, pick it up. This is a training exercise so put the pedal down: speed up, show some energy, flush that hydrant, wear the proper gloves and get the wet stuff on the hot stuff.
Only thing I suggest is to have the hydrant wrench with the supply hose adapter....one less step....I’ve honestly never seen a hydrant wrench mounted in the jump seat area
Y’all are ridiculous talking about “speed up” it’s a training video for god sakes, they clearly going over every step slowly so that the new fire recruits can absorb the information clearly
personally i think that took to long to get inside and flow water cut out the webbing your second man should have fixed the line before forcing the door should be 2.5 min or less
I’m with you there, IDK if this was slow paced for the video or not. I would say if it was then they would do themselves a service to announce that and show a full speed demo. I’m not a firefighter so I don’t know good from bad but I sure do enjoy watching this style videos and the pace was far below other departments.

Reason for the 150' of 2.5 is due to the fact that at times, Hydrants might be longer away and there may be a need to connect the line before fully pulling the rig to the hydrant. It also can very on department trainings and why, I've known that it's a good rule to pull more than you think you will need for kinks and extra if it comes down to it.
