Pretty cool idea! A few concerns I'd have though. 1) Cops may not like it, could consider it a distraction and pull you over 2) More prone to a break in when thieves see an ipad mounted inside. So you will need to remove it from case and store it before exiting vehicle each time
It looks cool but you probably want to take the iPad with you if you are gonna park for a long period of time under the sun, here in the south of Texas it will get baked and destroyed in a month.
Of course Europe is not the same like Texas, but it depends. I am taking the iPad always when not in car, and in car there is AC so device se kept cool. ✨

My polestar 2 does the same job. I don’t see how this is next level. Mine is speedy play RU-vid ect and it’s fixed. Driving experience using Google maps or waze or Apple CarPlay. Your cars old so and tablet would improve your driving experience but that iPad would not improve mine over my polestar inbuilt system. I did what you did to my Audi TT ages ago but wouldn’t recommend it because the tablet does take up some windscreen estate.

No I did it, and in the last moment of editing I put the sound higher, since I have been editing this for 2 months I wasn't sure about the audio levels, now thanks to the feedback in here I am.
Sure you can use a Mini! A lot of people talk about it in the comments, for my use case the 11" is the perfect solution, also you depend on the iPad you want to use in your personal life. 🙌
Hey brother, this is very cool. I am based over in Christchurch, New Zealand, and have been aspiring to an iPad pro setup. I have been using an iPad mini cellular mounted via 4 x scosche magnetic mounts since 2017. I just wanted to know when using this folio mount, do you have any problems with going over bumps and it falling down? Or is the snap lock, solid AF ?

I always wonder why car companies are not using big vibrant screens, they just have to put bright & great color IPS display for 10inches with some good enough hardware config. Even 10" is great; easily controllable by the driver. That's it; and a good OS; if they dont have it better use latest Android - I dont think so it will cost them more than 200 usd even; and companies can do that very easily if the car is sold for 15K. That device just need anti glare glass protection; no battery, no gaming processor, just a 100Hz good display, with maybe mid tier phone processor so it wont freak out on maybe QHD resolution; which is nothing for today's mid tier Snapdragon processors. If one company take a step ahead; everyone will follow
Hi there, this is a great point. 🙌 But I believe answer is simple, it is a lot of bureaucracy about it, safety, software development, which I heard sometimes it came from more than 1 team, only one who made it is Tesla and Apple with this new CarPlay (which was announced in 2021 and still only like 1 car has it). @@Snayps Well definitely I agree. Btw Tesla has a super smooth infotainment system. I have drive Tesla Y, and I can say better than premium cars. For some reason iPads in my car get super hot while navigation probably because even if AC is on, the direct sun through windshield cook it. UV is high 40-45°C temp normally in my area. But your point brings a very great startup idea in my mind tbh ;). Maybe if someone hasn't done something great in next 3-4 yrs in this area; I might. 😁
There are some magnetic docs you can add which also have power. One is called Lisen, which along with associating your focus mode with driving, you would be all set. Its funny how close this set up is to what Tesla has in their cars. Large map, car for playing songs, ability to game. No need for carplay.

Guys, solution is a tablet for any car - TEYES CC3. I'm from Russia and we have sanctions, but I would never have thought that you don't have similar solutions. It's not serious to mount an iPad 😂
