Thanks for the comment and please subscribe! I was tempted to stay on Stoney Trail instead of turning north to Airdrie. If I had done that, I might have sustained some serious damage. I drove through that area the next morning and saw at least 2 smashed windshields and the siding on homes looked like they were pelted by golf balls on a driving range.

@WalkWithYee

Driving along the stretch of Stoney Tr. NW where the streetlights are purple. Nenshi must have installed them when he was mayor. I feel like I'm driving through a bug zapper along that stretch of road. You were lucky to get through the Stoney Trail / Country Hills Blvd. NW interchange when you did. There were photos where it was completely blocked afterwards. I never knew it was bad at Sarcee though. Great plug for Cranbrook Framing.
@WalkWithYee

Thanks for your comment and please subscribe! A national media chain had an article that looked for certain criteria to be met of which their opinion found YQR didn't meet their criteria compared to others. Thanks for the comment! There was an article in one of the prints and it ranked the top 25 airports in Canada where each airport received a score from 0 to 100 based on six factors: direct flight destinations, lounges, dining facilities, operating airlines, on-site car rental and hotels within a 3km radius. How many yearly passengers go through each airport was also factored in. Regina actually ended in 24th spot.
@thecaynuck

Still looks far better than many American airports. Medium sized Canadian airports seem to have a similar layout or look to them and most of the time it turns out to be a really good airport. Halifax, Ottawa, Moncton are three I use quite a lot.

Nice! When you come out of the secure area of the airport, there is a small "convenience store" where you can buy a transit pass. I spent maybe $15 and that gets me to CBD and back to airport. Its pretty efficient and reasonably priced.

Thanks for the comment! Temperatures soar from May to August, so hotel prices drop and crowds disperse. This is an excellent time to visit if you enjoy extreme heat, or plan to spend most of your time inside the air-conditioned shopping malls. It will likely be in the low to mid 40s during the day and low 30s in the night.

You need to capture the shoreline walk from Parnell to the other side of the harbour. The footbridge connecting the other end of the fish market is out of bounds until late-2024, so you have to make a roundabout walk around the condo/hotel area.
