@@RobertPietraszewski-j6uLol.. I totally get it. In the absence of the 1842, I copped a 2392 model recently - full grain leather throughout. Looks very good! 👌🏾
@@T3720 I totally agree. I detest low-cut socks! I don’t mind invisible ones for comfortability reasons though. Lately, I’ve been styling with regular length socks. Will be uploading some videos soon. You’ll know what I’m talking about. :)
@@T3720 Lol.. all of my Common Projects have been BBall low so can’t say much on the Achilles but I’d expect them to have the same level of comfortability as they’re models from the same designer.
@@suaveetal Nope, but I'm planning to buy one. Was just looking for people's review on the sizing because I own the Achilles Low and I had to size down. But there's barely any review on these sadly!
@@jiajunwu5430 You definitely need to size down with the BBall low as I mentioned in the video. I went down from 8.5UK to 7UK and it fits nice. Hope that helps! :)
Lol.. you really love Common Projects. The only difference I can see is that the 2345 has grained texture all over it compared to the top-grain smooth leather on the 2155. At this stage, it seems like you’re the expert on CP models! :)
Hola! I’ve had a quick look and it looks like the 1887 is just like the 1842 but without the full-grain leather detail on the toe and sides. CP opted for top-grain leather all over. Also, did you mean 2155? :)
@@suaveetal thank you much for your reply. So do you think that 1887 or 1842 have a less thicker sole than 2551? Sorry to be so specific. But don’t you think the thicker sole would last longer ? 🙏🙏
@@suaveetal yes I meant 2551 because when I try to buy the bball low, it comes up with that design number. Like I looked on Saxfifth or Newman Marcus that’s what they showed for the bball low, but when I looked at the utube bball low the number was 1887. Which is very annoying because if they are the same shoes then why you put some puzzling numbers to creat doubts in the buyers mind? Thank you.
Thanks for the input. I find that for this pair, it’ll be a little tight with socks if I went down even 0.5 a size. I guess one can always try and exchange for a different size if necessary. :)
Hey! Great video. I’m looking to buy a pair of the the full grain leather on Mr Porter and in the description it says that fit “true to size” and the regular pair fits “large to size”. Bit confused on which size to order for the full grain. Any recommendations? Thanks
Thanks very much. If you’re buying the 1842 then I’ll recommend going at least a size down. I actually went 1.5 sizes down for mine. If anything you can always return it but I’m sure at least a size down should be fine for a BBall low. Enjoy the shoe and let me know how it goes.:)
What’s the difference between 2155 here and 2330 tonal low top ? Can you please let me know. Because I want to order one and don’t know which one to order ?
You definitely are a Common Project King! Lol.. I looked at the 2330 model and it looks just like a BBall design but I’m not convinced it is. Differences include the use of mesh/fabric panel on the side and around the heel of the 2330. The overlay of leather around the heel is also a feature not on a classic BBall. Sole looks slightly different too. However, silhouette looks the same, toe etc. I believe the official name is Common Projects Decades low. Are you looking at buying a 2330?
@@donnydoit7678 Nice! I’m not sure about the fit of Common Project Decades so be careful. Let me know how it looks and fits when you get them. Enjoy! :)
I’m not sure about “BBall trainer”. I think it’s the same with trainer being used more in British English. I may be wrong but if Common Projects have BBall Trainer and Summer models then please share more, enlighten the community. 😁
So please for gods sake tell me what’s the difference between the two. To me, It looks as if everything is the same. But I think the 1842 has a lower heel. Why they created two number for the same model?
Haha.. they’re pretty much the same - 2155 has smooth leather all over whereas the 1842 has textured leather at some parts of the design (tongue, toe). Slight changes for new fashion seasons. Same product. Lol
I received these shoes today and I have to say that I am very disappointed because they look nothing like what they seem to be. Big heels but it feels like your feet are touching the ground. Probably your flops have more cushion and thickness to them. Are these basketball shoes ? The will kill the knee in any basketball player.
@@suaveetal lol sure thing. It looks very beautiful. I thought being a bball shoe it would feel more cushion. I got the dark blue one also a black one lol the blue came today black will arrive probably tomorrow, both were on sale. Also it is bigger that I thought. I wear size 8.5 so I ordered the size 8 but still big. I ordered again the size 7, blue. The last one in that size. 😊
@@donnydoit7678 Haha.. not sure why it’s called BBall but cushiony is definitely not a feature on this. Also, yea, they’re very long. Size 7 will be just perfect. Enjoy!
@@suaveetal well, that’s a lot. Because you know when you see GA, it has something very special about it that you couldn’t put your fingers/hands lol on one specific/particular spot/area, and that’s a lot of compliment. These shoes remind me of GA in that regard. Yes, they look very special.
" the quality is sublime" so you gotta pay for it, yes you can create the look with a more affordable shoe but the materials and quality will not be the same and it won't be an original design which is what people who buy Vizvim are paying for
If one can afford the Visvim price then it’s a good investment but I understand it’s quite steep and that brings in the alternatives. Thanks for taking the time to share your opinion. :)
Haha.. I understand and you’re right, Saint Laurent’s cost per shoe is probably very low but the quality is definitely more than any chelsea boots that retails for $450.
@@suaveetal I think brands like Carmina, TBL are better built (mounting under engraving) and for the price of YSL they may have partly handmade assembly and violin sole, and a much superior leather like Janus for exemple :)
Could I ask for the fbt lhamo folk midsole, is it very soft? Especially near the toe box, it looks softer than the other shoes. I even can bend it easily. I purchased it from sevenstore. Cause of the soft midsole, i'm afraid it is fake.
The midsole is bendable like most shoes but it’s hard to tell how soft yours is. Also, I just checked on Visvim dot tv and Sevenstore is an authorised stockist so you can relax. :)
Hey, I’m unable to advise without knowledge of what the 7 represents but my guess is that it’s your finger’s circumstance hence your size is probably L/XL on Asos.
I don’t own a pair of CP achilles low but the B-Ball low runs large to size. My favourite retailers have the same sizing recommendations for both so I’d advise that you size down one from your normal sneaker size. Good luck :)
I’ve never seen them on sale on Visvim.tv but I have on stockist sites like Mr. Porter and EndClothing which means this summer, there’ll probably be another sale on said platforms. Good luck! :)
Hey bro, I love your videos on visvim, it has helped me a lot but I wanted to ask your advice please. I’m a UK 7.5 in Nike and bought a UK 8 in the Visvim lhamo folk. It fits perfect width wise but is tight at the front of the foot. I like my shoes snug but not uncomfortable. I wanted to know if the suede will stretch after wearing them? Any bigger sizes are sold out so it’s either I return these or keep them. What size did you get in your brown lhamo folk compared to your Nike size bro? I would really appreciate your advice 🙏🏽
I appreciate the support.. 🙏🏾 Suede generally do stretch but mine hasn’t stretched that much - still snug. If it feels too uncomfortable, I’d advise you to return. I normally don’t wear socks with my shoes as I prefer them snug so as I wear Nike UK 8.5 and ordered Visvim Lhamo Folk in M8.5. Where did you buy yours?
@@suaveetal thank you for your response bro. I only wear no show socks with them. I got them from Mr Porter, they’re the beige lhamo folk. It’s perfect width wise but my foot is at the end of the shoe. I’ve had suede loafers like Loro piana which were snug at first but then loosened over time so I was hoping the same would happen with these. I appreciate your advice and help bro 🙏🏽
It’ll probably stretch enough to be a perfect fit as you break into them. I just checked Visvim.tv and only size remaining is M9. Break into the pair and they’ll be fine.. enjoy! :)
They’re mainly John Smedley from Mr. Porter and the cream piece is a Gucci alpaca turtleneck. However, I’m sure you can get any of these colours from most shops.
It depends on designer/brand but usually medium. It’s also important to utilise the services of a tailor to get the suit to your preferred fit, if needed.
