@@undergrounddiecast I've just seen them at 1/64 and 1 on 1/43 on that brand. There is not too many but I lived in TJ and I used to used them as my transportation. Just nostalgic times men haha
@@undergrounddiecast yeah men there were real. Locals used to call em "Guayinas" because of the bad translation of wagon word and of course taxis. Buses are still called "camiones" but back in the days it used to be call "burras"
So that's TWELVE gadgets, 4 expandable bumpers front and back, revolving license plates front and back, a tire shredder, 2 oil slicks, a bullet proof shield, a removable ejector seat, and 2 machine guns. And even though it's not an actual gadget it has the navigation device the dashboard That was very ambitious for 1/18 scale 20 plus plus years ago.
When this model first came out it didn't have the ejector roof panel, just a hole. Eventually they added it to the model, but I bought mine before it was added. I was pretty bummed out. So I found their corporate headquarters and hand wrote a note about how much I loved that car and wished I could get a roof panel for my DB5. To my great surprise not long after I wrote that letter a very nice package arrived at my doorstep, and you guessed it, contained within was the roof panel, a thank you note, and some stickers and photos. That's a true story, and of course that roof panel sits stop my DB5 everyday. Now I ask you, is not the coolest thing ever. And by the way, it fits like a glove. AutoArt certainly won me over, they could have just thrown that letter in the trash but they didn't.
What an awesome story. AutoArt went out of their way to let you complete your model. My model doesn't have the roof either but I think I have made peace with it being not available. I will try to fabricate one using plexiglass if I get some time. Thank you for sharing your story. Please like and subscribe to my channel if you liked the video.
@@undergrounddiecast I also admire you're activating the gadgets, a while back I thought I'd show the machine guns and as I gently tried to open one side, the blinker popped off. It's tiny but I found it and sooner or later when I get a nice magnifying glass I'll super glue it back on with some model tweezers. We'll see about opening them up again, I'm scared cause the model is pretty old now and it's fairly fragile. What a wonderful model though, I'm so proud to have one. And your garage diorama is fantastic, I love it.
@@robertkees6048 The model is indeed fragile even the wheel spokes are fragile. But its a work of art and with age some parts become brittle. All the best with your repair adventure and I really appreciate your compliment about the diorama. thank you.
Would you kindly forward what is the catalogue number of this AUTOart version, please? I'm trying to find one but I'm only getting the plain version AA70020 with no gadgets hidden. Thanks!
I have added the model details in the description. I am including it again in the comment for you Model Details: Model: 1957 Chevrolet Corvette GASSER Scale: 1/18 Maker: Road Tough
Very clever solution for a cheap and easy fix. I have a cheaper model with missing wipers and it's not worth buying a donor just to fix that portion or scanning+3d printing something. I'm definitely going to do this and paint the wiper black.
These are great comparison videos. Sometimes people forget that without these budget entry level models the variety of more mid and premium models might not exist. These are models that have an impact on you as a child (maybe you're gifted one from a family member) or allow you to build up a little stable without making a huge dent on the wallet if you just want a few nice shelf pieces. Many models, like common cars, are only made by the entry level makers and might have more meaning to some owners (i.e. they owned a particular model of common car growing up or currently). Most people start off with entry level models and then start to enjoy the hobby more, then graduate into the mid and premium tiers. There's a market for all tiers and we should appreciate that we have options based on various budgets :)

Wow what a detailed insightful comment. I really appreciate it and thank you for waiting for my content. Comments like these keeps me motivated to produce more content. I personally feel Maisto puts a big smile on the faces of Collectors on a budget and the value they get in return is a lot more compared to the investment. I personally feel that Maisto Brand went through a lot of evolution and in the past they produced many variants of quality but now they are just focused on producing affordable models with very decent details. I am looking forward to seeing Maisto compete with the likes of AutoArt Highway 61 etc. Thanks again for such a wonderful comment.

Great Technique Of DIY Antennae's & Wiper Blade Arms (Where are the wiper blades though), as I said Great DIY Technique but unfortunately one really cant see how you going about fabricating Such Not Being Bold , May I Make A Suggestion ..Try Using A Solid White Background & Table Cover...Also Try and Bring Your Camera In Closer ..By Zooming in...No Offense ..Just A thought Bud ....May You & Your Family ...Have A Great, Safe Easter Holiday Weekend!!..Take Care Now:):)
Thank you for the valuable comment. I see your point and it's absolutely valid. One way to add the blade will be to use the plastic casing. I didn't show it in the video maybe I will record another shorter version. If you cut the plastic casing the size of the blade and make a small hole in the middle(or any appropriate location) and insert it in the blade arms. The casing will look like a blade as the second half which is not inserted in the arm will give that look of the blade. I hope I was able to describe the idea. Thank you again and you too have a great Holiday weekend.
Great Awesome Very, Very Ingenious Informative Video!!!...but I'm rather curious as to where you purchased those METAL SPIKES (with the pre-DRILLED HOLES )...Thanks!!..Merry Chri9stmas To You & Your Family, & ALL The Best In 2024!!
Thank you for the appreciative comment. I bought the metal spikes from Amazon. These spikes are usually used with leather jackets and belts. Thank you ♥️ and wish you and your family a Merry Christmas 🎄.

Thank you very much for the comment ☺️. Using tooth pick is possible but they are too thin for my projects but that's a good idea 💡. I will try to use them wherever it makes sense.
Thank you for watching the video. It was just an attempt to show different ways to clean your car. If you are not recording the video and talking then the cleaning takes less than a minute.
I am from India 🇮🇳. My collection is in Canada 🇨🇦. Thanks for your comment 😊. Hope you enjoyed the video. Please subscribe for more such videos. Thanks 👍
@@undergrounddiecast Hi again, I'm trying to purchase the yatming road signature model cars 1/18 from Amazon India. There are priced around 50 USD is it a fair deal for the models and how is the chrome quality and paint on the road signature series??
I think the price is fine. The chrome quality and paint are good. Try to search my video where I have done comparison between Road Signature and Mira Solido. You will get a very good idea about the Chrome quality and paint quality.
Thanks for stopping by. Door and engine bay open. If you look at the pictures during the intro you will see them open. Next time I will make sure I show a clip of the opened parts as well.
@@undergrounddiecast absolutely, just did! It's nice to have someone like u making videos like these because they get really confusing , some are the same brands with different names lol. U could do any brand really ex: UT models , greenlight, signature models , hotweheels , solido , norev, maisto ..etc
@@nick4281thank you for subscribing. I will cover one more brand soon. Usually I wait until I collect all/most variations in the same brand. Stay tuned 🙂.
so i have this 10cm figurine that i want to display in a parking garage. 1:18 motorcyle is the right size for him and i think maybe 1:24 car is also the perfect size if hes standing next to it. now which garage size should i get for him ? 1:18 or 1:24 garage ?
10 cms is closer to the 1/18 scale so my recommendation will be 1/18 scale garage also you just confirmed that it fits well with 1/18 scale motorcycle which is very much expected. 1:24 scale is not appropriate in my opinion and will look like a giant is standing inside the garage. Just my two cents. Thanks for checking out the video. Please consider subscribing if you liked it.
Franklim Mint , Im growing on it. Great craftmanship with quality and realism. Prices are to high now for me (At least when complete with box + paperwork included)
That's true. Try to find a pre-owned model on Facebook Marketplace. Sometimes people get lucky and get beautiful models at a very reasonable price. Getting everything with the box will be tough but it doesn't hurt to try ☺️. Thank you for watching the video.
