Owner of 23 Off Road. It has the power of a 4 cylinder with the mpg of a v8. However its reliability is unmatched, and its the best looking Taco still. I love my truck.
Good review. Was disappointed that while driving, the video was on you rather than on the road. It's always exciting to see how a car negotiates road conditions. To car lovers, driver's face is almost always not great for the video.
Shaft drive is what separates Honda from the rest of the SXS market. Mechanical connection is better idc what the belt is made out of. All about reduced manufacturing cost with the side effect of better mpg
To say that a non hybrid MPG at 34 is really good for a "non-hybrid" is deceptive. Since the early 1990s I have OWNED several cars that got at least 34 mpg. The best one I ever owned was a Saturn SL-1 that did over 50MPG highway with a combined of around 40MPG.
I have a honda hrv 2024,no Turbo it's getting 33mpg I drive 70 miles round trip every time I go out on roads withalot of hills. It's very quick and has no issues with hp ,no it's not all wheel drive.
My transmission went out 9 months and 30k miles later. Made me pay for the car after paying 3800 to fix the transmission. Hated Nissan and all the CVT transmissions since.
We don’t really have diesel cars in the US, only on semi trucks and buses. And even then it’s still viewed as a dirty fuel (thanks to VW and Mercedes) so a lot of people don’t buy cars that use that fuel even if it’s better than gasoline in some respects.
Do the new fords have them? I feel like the 2022 ford I drive for work has LAG. Not like kind of, like if a car was barreling at me, I wouldn’t be able to move in time. Then you get past the lag, and launch almost uncontrollably lol
I don't like CVT transmissions because they still aren't as reliable but admittedly they are improving reliability. I'm weird for someone from the USA because I prefer a manual
They absolutely can be built for speed. Look up CVTs in racing, they were banned over 35 years ago for being too fast. Imagine if they weren’t banned and car companies were able to advance the tech in them by figuring out the pros and cons the last 35 years, we would actually have CVTs in performance cars or even CVTs that could handle the extra power and be reliable. This is particularly why I don’t like sanctioned racing as much as I would like because every time I see a new technology come out that could be used by everyone, in a positive way, the powers that be end up banning it from motorsports, and then they move on to a half assed solution that doesn’t really benefit anyone. Motorsports technology is important because after a while the tech once its advanced enough in relation to cost trickles down to everyday cars and trucks that normal people like you or me can walk into a dealership and buy.
Toyota has a cvt that has a traditional first gear for faster off the line speed. Then it switches to cvt for the rest of the range for fuel efficiency. Best of both worlds.
Trust me, if it’s one of those summer days, where you were at the park all day or something hot, and you just need to sit down in the cool, this would be amazing.
I’m selling a car to a guy right now who’s telling me to please drop the price down by $500 when it’s already a good price because he needs to replace the muffler. Apparently it costs $500 to install a muffler on a 2004 toyota Corolla . The things I hear on marketplace are funny. Your story doesn’t surprise me at all 😂
Thanks for the video! Avoid 2011-2018 Cayennes that are out of warranty. Massive amounts of transfer case failures that Porsche will cover, but only under warranty. It's a $4500 repair and they fail. A LOT. Also - don't buy a German car unless you want an unreliable, overpriced vehicle. :)
I often say to people with angry looking cars "But your not angry why do you want people to think you are " .....they usually look confused and then try to punch me (and fail ) so clearly they are angry....sort your life out and stop being a child
