Hi! To hide the rows you’ll first need to remove the action that disables highlighting. Highlighting is tied to the interaction with the worksheet’s mark. Then you can just click on a value to drill down and reveal the detailed values within, then click on the same value again to collapse and hide those details (rows). Hope this helps, let me lmk if this doesn’t work for you :)

It is sad, sometimes the simplest visualizations can be the most challenging to create in Tableau. That’s why I love sharing little hacks to make it work! If there’s anything specific you're stuck on, let me know. Maybe I can cover it in a future video :)
Hi! To make the rounded bars use measure values in the row/column instead of the metric you want to represent. Then type 0 into the measure values and remove everything else except the metric you want to represent. Change the mark type to a line and make the measure names the path of the line. I have a video on creating a single sided rounded bar chart: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-90dUHfErSJU.html And a double sided rounded bar chart: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oZygyARzg98.html
I have been watching your content for a few months now and it’s really impressive. Can you please create an org chart that is dynamic in tableau? I would really appreciate it. Thanks for all you do.
Thank you for the dashboard creation. Please create a dashboard using the mobile view. Becz now a days lot of clients asking the mobile view and switch to default view.
Hi! This should work for that date type, but if you are having trouble with it, I have another video (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e6GQ8sZ8rsg.html) for a workaround that will 100% work on any date type and even a string field for the axis 😊
Yeah this came in handy, actually i was doing with the tableau highlights functionality by adding "a" in a calculated field and placing that calculated field in the sheet i want to stop the highlighting , and configuring a highlight action in the dashboard for that sheet, somehow it used to work previously for the same dashboard a copy version of the dashboard the functionality looks broken tried to fic no use, at last while saerching for many other methods, I found this gem perfectly works fine, Thank you.
I used floating objects for greater flexibility in design and layout. They allow precise placement and layering, which is useful for custom and complex visualizations. While tiled objects are great for maintaining consistent spacing and alignment, floating objects offer the ability to fine-tune positioning to achieve the desired look and functionality. Both approaches have their advantages, so you can choose whichever fits best for your project :)
@@user-nw3jm2bi4s unfortunately using pivot is the only method I know, but you can do this in the cleaning like I’ve done in this video or pivot using calculated fields which can give more flexibility!
It is possible to display the date larger using a title from a worksheet, but unfortunately if you place the title in front of the parameter you won't be able to see the selection box that the users fills in. I'll try looking for a workaround and let you know if I find anything :)
Is there a way to add labels without including the 0 from the MIN(0)? Would like to be able to show the values from the bars but it’s too messy when it includes the 0s
Yes, you can adjust the axis to show the correct values on the left while maintaining the structure of the whole rounded bar. I have a video where I make the adjustment to the axis (3:36 mark). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EK933HAKHpo.html&ab_channel=GoldenInsights Also, if you don't want to show 0 at all you can give the axis a fixed start at 1 so the first tick will be the amount of your tick intervals. Let me know if I misunderstood your question!
Hi there, thank you for this video. Is there any way we can achieve collapse functionality using set actions? For example e.g. on fully expanded version, if we click on state it should collapse,if click on state again then expands. Basically if expanded then next click should collapse and if collapsed the next click should expand. After clicking on Massachusetts for eg. it will show cities, but again after clicking on Massachusetts it should hide/collapse cities. I tried parameter actions as well but no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Super simple and easy to follow! Thanks! I put navigation buttons on top of the rounded boxes to make them more visually appealing on the dashboard I'm working on.
Thank you :) Adding navigation buttons on top of the rounded boxes is a great idea! I use them for filters, parameters, and working on a video right now about adding shadows using these rounded boxes! If you have any suggestions for future videos or topics you’d like me to cover, I’d love to hear them
