I've got a Saab, an ex-rental where it looks like everyone who drove it did that with the keys, haha. The ignition is actually between the seats so I guess it can be confusing.
I did not know this place still existed. I remember the giant sand castles, the movie theater was upstairs near the food court the arcades next to one of the best Chinese foods places. Good ol times. Also, wasn't there another movie theaters outside the mall?

unsure if you know about the old Electric Ballroom that was in Tempe but it turned into a combination high school + middle school of art ( i actually graduated there in 2016!)
I watched freaks and geeks by Emmet's recommendation three years ago and it's truly one of the best tv shows that have ever been made. You rarely see people portraying teenagers that well, it's insane how good it is.
We used to cruise Metrocenter and Main in Mesa back in the day. Met my wife at Black Angus at Metrocenter. All the great malls have closed, Metro, Tri-City, even my teenage hangout of Fiesta Mall.
Oh my gosh, how sad, I used to hang out at this mall when I was a kid. Why would people trash every thing in side! Some kind of freaks/sickos would do that! If I was that guy I would of grabbed up all those blue prints of the mall, just to something to look at. I am sure they are going to tare it down, just like other malls! Look at metro center! That's another mall I went to before Festa mall was built. Soo 😢
I only went to this mall, when my partner needed to go to Costco and Walmart. I visited this mall once and walk around the different shop once while running an errand.
This is a really small mall with relatively strong foot traffic during peak hours after schools and during the weekends. A *dead* mall are these massive places with absolutely no foot traffic so to speak even in ideal times. The entire surrounding area is also very active, which is not common for a dead mall. You really need to reassess what constitutes as "dead" here.
Nah, compared to how it was it’s a ghost town. Dead Mall term is to draw in viewers but I stand by it, it’s on the way out. It’s a sad shell of what it used to be. Look up the definition yourself it truly can fit different levels of occupancy. “Slowly declining mall propped up by Wal Mart and adjacent Target that is not connected to the main Mall” just doesn’t have the same ring to it. But yeah it’s thriving, totally… it’s on the way out home slice.
I remember, "Attack of the 50ft. couch" ft. Mike Vallely's punk rock band "Revolution Mother" July 2006. Met my first girlfriend, got a free pro-board and my Converse signed by CKY, that was one of the greatest days of my life, sad to see the condition of this place after so many years.
