Damn, definitely not down here in southern NH or where we were in Vermont this past weekend. They're still on that late summer bite for us, been getting them in the same areas consistently for the last 2 months and nothing has changed yet.
Shouldn’t really push the fish backwards in the water when releasing, this can actually cause a fish to drowned. Fantastic catch young man. That’s a NH giant and fish of a lifetime

Really wanted to make it to this live stream, but got side tracked with work! This time of the year, i struggle more than anytime of the year. Late august through September the bite just dies here. I end up switching to musky fisbing until early october rolls around. Cant wait to listen to this podcast.
Oh man switching to musky just sounds friggen AWESOME. That's highest on my list of fresh water fish to hook into. Or maybe a sturgeon. Toss up between the two of them. If I get lucky one of these times up on the St Lawrence River, I could get both!
Liked and commented! Cant wait for some cold water jerbaits and livescope. I grew up in southern maine. I loved fishing in that area. Also you guys never talked ablout the berkley krej. Has anyone have any luck using them?
Thank you!! I need to spend more time in southern Maine, though I did more this year than ever before so I'm headed in the right direction. Got up there 3 times. Next year I'll hope to get up to the Belgrades area finally, split some time between there and get back down to Candlewood in Connecticut again too. Andrew and I have used the Krej, not a big fan of it myself yet. It sinks fast. Too fast in my opinion. Haven't really tried it this time of the year, it may do better now than earlier in the season.

Glad it helped! We need to do something about a second camera for nights like this though so it's easier and more "professional" for showing off baits. And thanks man, I'm glad I was able to get back into it and help with the high school!
Im not seeing other boats in the background- so I assume where you are doesnt get much pressure- I hope your not just hauling Ladies off their beds- Thats not sporting to the fish
This was in March, when the water temp was still 45-47 in the main lake, and when the majority of bass anglers in the northeast still aren't fishing yet. I loathe bed fishing and go out of my way to avoid it at all costs, which is a big reason why I travel so much during that time of the year. I chase that prespawn bite as far north as the Canadian border of Champlain, then I go back south into Massachusetts or Connecticut to find the post spawn bite. If I find I'm still stuck fishing in the spawn, I'll catch a couple just to make the long drive worth it, then head home very early in the day. It's just not for me, there's nothing to be gained from it as it's literally the easy thing any angler can do. I've posted a few Shorts on here showing people you can catch smallmouth on a bare hook, no bait needed, just to prove how easy it is to catch a spawning fish off of their bed.
Nice video as always guys.not sure why, but this video was loaded with youtube ads every 5 minutes. I dont recall any of your streams ever having ads when I rewatch them. I only complain because I was washing dishes and had to dry my hands every few minutes to skip the ads 😂.
Thanks buddy! That's weird about the number of ads. I have them turned on, and there's an options for it, but I never pick the most aggressive option which is what it sounds like you experienced, sorry about that!
A buddy and were on Champlain monday-thursday, not alot of largemouth bites....but all the ones we caught were quality, several high 3's, a few over 4lbs and one 5.5. we had a 20lb bag Thursday. Jigs and texas rigs were our bread and butter, flippn docks and flipping lily pad points. Super fun!
Sorry David! Was trying to work around the lighting I had available when I thought I'd be able to stream outside but that didn't pan out in the end anyway. Next year I'm picking a place to stay that has much better wifi hahaha
Hey love your videos man. I just got live on my boat and was wondering what lake this is because I really wanna get some good practice with live before my upcoming tournament.
Thanks Garrett! I'm sorry though, I rarely ever share what lake I'm fishing. I don't want to blow up anyone's honey holes! I'd find a place that has a good variety of bait fish in it to go practice at. Places that have yellow perch, white perch, and smelt listed are good because it's easy to find a school of at least one of those, and the bass are never far behind!
@@ReelNorthernBassthis is facts. Someone put a video out catching a 7lb salmon out of my small hidden lake in Maine. Next year there were over 15-20 salmon fishermen there a day early spring.
It happens all too often. I have to be careful when filming so I don't show anything overly obvious in the surroundings, especially launch ramps. This way the only way people know where I'm fishing, are people that have already been there a bunch of times. If word gets out I was at a specific lake, that's on the people that recognize the lake and start telling everyone else...but then I get the blame. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
