Great deck - enjoy the theme. As a fellow meteorologist, had similar thoughts, searched widely through the cards, and finding this was good for a few that I'd missed. I ended up going the Stormsire as the direction to the exclusion of white. Helps that there are a few new cards that fit the storm theme, like Ral, Monsoon Mage and Volatile Storm Drake. Was a little surprised to see no Stormchaser Chimera.
All the arguments are invalid if you take into account that playing a City of Brass with original Mark Tedin art sparks way more joy than playing anything else mentioned in this video.
in my opinion the way i have seen a bunch of lists playing this commander i feel they are playing it wrong half the time like changeling outcast is cool but you want your opponents creatures to die while you have your commander on the field so giving unlockable isnt good with what she wants to do the only way i see it being good is with vorpal sword thats it
Love offerup. Can see who doesn't know what they have when they put in "deckmaster" cards. Or those who say, I don't know anything about these, i want to get rid of them
Yeah, Heart Piercer Bow is a case of the srtifact doing damage and not the creature so it unfortunately doesnt work with deathtouch. Pathway arrows would though!
Definitely. But odds are not every opponent is going to be playing tokens, and we still have cards like Mutilate and Massacre Girl to deal with players going wide. Plus we can still hit most token payoff cards, for instance we can take care of an Avenger of Zendikar before those plants get too large. Thanks for watching!!
@@zeno217 Great question, it's difficult in mono black since the color doesn't have a whole lot of non-creature removal. Feed the Swarm is pretty much the best enchantment removal in the format for mono black. Ghastly Death Tyrant is I believe the only other mono black card that can destroy enchantments. If you're really struggling in your playgroup to deal with enchantments though you could always try something like Pharika's Liberation. Artifact removal is not much better, so if you're still struggling with this deck to get rid of both I'd suggest Nevinyrall's disk or Perilous Vault as boardwipes

I’m running a lot of these same cards in my deck, I’m also running a batterskull, commanders plate, and an indomitable archangel for some flying protection as well as protecting my artifacts
I mean that's all fine and dandy, but all these cards aren't going to simply replace themselves all the time--the ability triggers ONCE each turn. So unless everything has flash, won't matter much.
This is why the deck runs so many flash abilities and cards with abilities to make artifact creatures on opponents turn, but you're absolutely correct. The ability to get back one card you play a turn shouldn't be overlooked, especially in the early game 👍
I went from eligeth and Siani, then switched it to Minn, then switched it to kefnet, now I’m thinking of switching it back to eligeth, but with kydele to helm as partner. I loved every switch up when brewing. All I really did was swapped the commanders out and kept the deck the same. So this should be interesting because I’m adding green!
@@TheManaConfluence I feel like i have the same addiction. "only" got 8 decks, but im also just in 2 years or so... :D It's just so much fun and every deck plays so differently... and has different power levels. And you can really pick one for almost any playgroup without much/any adjustment
