If you dig the creature collector + autobattler combo, you might wanna take a look at Yaoling: Mythical Journey. I am no expert in the genre but from the couple hours i've put in it the game is pretty nice.
there are so many fun interactions in this game and i wish i could replay it for the first time. (the way each enemy has its own unique ai, mechanics, the variants)

dude i used to play BlazBlue Centrafiction (the fighting game) with my friends all the time and you’re playing my main so when i saw the thumbnail i thought you were playing centrafiction and was so confused also hakumen is all about parry’s and reversing damage onto the opponent and cause basically everything he does is a parry including his supers, also if you ever play this game again i think you’d like susanoo he’s like if hakumen had a venom symbiote (i legit just saw the boss fight with susanoo lmao what timing)

Sucks you hate reading because the library is a bit of a tutorial, giving you useful information. Cut is super effective against electricity because you can cut someone's power/electricity I suppose the logic goes. Type effectiveness is covered in the library but you can just play the game and figure it out too I guess. Certainly I think the type effectiveness makes more intuitive sense overall than Pokémon's.
