Here is a summary of the key points from the video transcript in bullet points: - The video shows a tour of a property for sale located in a rural area with outbuildings, gardens, and views. - The main house is quite large with multiple bedrooms, a kitchen, and bathrooms but is in need of renovations. The roof may need to be replaced. - There are additional structures on the property like a bread oven, garage, and dog/animal houses. - The grounds include gardens, fruit trees like lemon and olive trees, and space but the soil contains a lot of granite making it difficult to plant. - Outstanding views of the surrounding landscape are highlighted as a major selling point. - Additional living spaces were identified like a separate flat above the garage and outside bathroom.
LOL at the end of the vlog, first time we saw irish John's face on here. We only saw the back of his head on holiday. (Yes this is Davejavuables third login on YT lol other than the one with my full name too) "RU-vid's are arseholes" comment lol.
@@yorkshiretoportugal I meant to ask if you saw the big house with large roof terrace in Palverinho, that was on a few realestate sites? With your back to the cafe you take a left at the pink house and it's just a few houses up before the " bungalow". I think it was only about 50K.
Hi ,if this the 120k house then yes it is registered, I think In total it was about 7700 sq mtr, if you contact espacos in castelo they will have all the details, thanks
Ha! Anyway was wondering about the other place you had for around 35,000.. kinda cottage type ( I just couldn't find it again on here , if it's still available
Lots of problems with water retention, run-off and soil erosion at the entrance. _ Cost you a fair amount of money to bring that in order to start off with. This is a big project all the way 'round with large renovation costs.
Thanks for your comments, we'd had some heavy thunder storms and the house was empty so a little preventing would sort that as 300 days of sun per year is more of an issue, the video made it look drier than it was, thanks again
Friendly advice, as a portuguese i can guarantee you that Castelo Branco district is too hot for confort, for agriculture and even for living (except if you can easily stand temperatures over 30C between june and October). That's why "nobody" leaves there, and that's why it is so cheap to buy land there.
Thank you for the comments but 180000 people in the castelo branco region might disagree, including all the farmers, the problem if any is the young people move away to earn more money and easier work
@@yorkshiretoportugal If 3 or 4 months of infernal heat a year don't bother you, great. But agriculture in the Castelo Branco district is difficult because of summer heat and low rainfall (around 700 mm per year). That's why C Branco, as all the other interior districts, has always had a much lower population density than the coastal regions. Anyway, welcome to PT and all the luck!
I wouldn't call the price being asked for, 125,000Euros - 3/4 Hectares (ie approx 2.5 acres to 1 Hectar) so that is less than 2 acre, cheap or value for money. So, 50, 000 Euros per acre and 25,000 Euros for the house. Or, 50,000 Euros for the land, leaving 75,000 Euros for the house which needs a lot of renovating, at least 100, 000 Euros worth of needed renovations. Then you have to get reliable builders and handworkers. The House is a semi-detached 👎. The windows are all single glazed👎The sewerage (septic drainage) would need looking into 👎. The irrigation system??????
@@yorkshiretoportugal don't worry about these comments. Hot is necessary and also the rain ( as in these days, that it has been raining a lot, because it fills the dams.)
Looks good but I personally wouldn't keep the Eucalyptus as the harm the drop and oil is so flammable. Lots of clearing and pruning but as you said house is liveable. Thanks for the tour....
The Eucalyptus trees are large and isolated. Surely shade and survival of trees in such a climate is the first consideration of caring for the land in both Spain and Portugal. Then there is the prevention of soil erosion the next. Then water retention. If you start chopping down those beautiful big trees that stand alone, if you treat your land in a permaculture manner, keep your brushgrowth down to a minimum and adhere to the fire prevention rules, using swales as bushfire clearance areas and always having in the back of your mind the possibility of bushfires (note the fire extinguishers in the house!), there is much that can be done to mitigate the event of fires.
The house is alright, but there's quite intensive traffic nearby .. noisy .. and the neighbor also seems to be right next door .. so that place would be a total turnoff for me .. anyway, good luck with your purchase ✌
Hi, the noise wasn't heard from the house or round the back, the neighbours a doctor who lives in the city and is only there at the weekend, I'm of the same feeling though, I want no noise too
Who is this fat man and whyis he filming private property of somebody else? He had permission to do that? I think it'snot appropriate to do that my friend
Nice village, 1 cafe/bar/basic shop, very friendly, 10 minutes from castelo branco, excellent access to the house and ample parking, hope this helps, Mark
