Turbolover, thanks for uploading the rare footage of the Belgian GP at Nivelles-Baulers in 1974. This was Tom Pryce Formula 1 carrier debut. What a incredible F1 scenery, really amazing. Beatiful and spectacular Images. Congratulations!
I lived in Nivelles from 1969 to 1973 and attend all races and events. We gathered at the track during lunch time while attending Ecole Normale, riding our 50cc bikes. Great memories - thank you !
At the moment they turn the track into a business park. They already did with a part, now they take the last abandoned part of the circuit too.
@JCCyC Yes, if you only count the F1 races there. Emerson's perfect record is forever since this circuit is no more. Funny how a top modern circuit designed to "cure" all the dangers of Spa (which up to 1970 indeed was lethal) neither appealed to the drivers nor the audience. A flop of a circuit if there ever was one. Well, maybe the Sitges Terramar circuit in Spain, but that still looks part usable after being abandoned for 80 years or so.
Thank you so much! I had hoped to find some original footage of Nivelles-Baulers for a long time. Great that you made it happen! Nowadays people would probably prefer this track to many others out there - how things change... *lol*
