This could be quite good if you didnt repeat yourself so much and if you identified the streets in the red zone. I grew up in Dallington and would have liked to see exactly where you are with a map and possibly some shots from before to place things.
@@AdventureTravelNewZealand If you gonna put content up you gotta handle criticism. I worked in film crew for years and see everything in performance terms. You got a good head and an interesting subject. A bit less chummy and shoot in smaller grabs that you can edit easily. I havent been in Chch for fifty years but might come back for a look now you've spiked my interest. ciao and good luck
Thank you so much for doing this video. My son's Great Great Grandfather was one of the Miners that, sadly, didn't make it out alive. The Brunner Mine Disaster has always interested me and it was nice to see around what is left now. I hope to make it there one day
I'm so glad you found the video meaningful. The Brunner Mine Disaster is a significant part of history, and it's important to remember those who were affected. I hope you get the chance to visit and connect with that part of your family's history.
Good man for doing this. im a bit of a fan of yours, just have some issues with China and its influence on NZ and its scams like temu . Anyway keep up the good work
you walked past my childhood house, my chilhood school and church. also my highschool is no more. At 7minutes was actually ST Pauls school :) weird how you cant visit the places most responsible for a large part of your life if you are from there
Thanks for sharing this, very cool, I need to actually stop and spend time on the West coast in future, there's so much history. I love that there are crankshafts etc lying around. I confess I laughed when your "this is 2023" was confirmed seconds later by the "look for tra ns" sign 😅
Haha, right? Nothing like a good old "look for trans" sign to remind us we're still in 2023! Just wait until you find a crankshaft with a trendy TikTok account!
Yes Well.... perhaps my job isn't that bad after all🤨 Thanks so much for your time making it. True dedication out there filming on a wet grey day👍 Cheers😊
So very sad did you know Dennis and Emily Manson they lived in Taylorville on the West Coast where you grow up also the Emily’s maid name was Patterson so family members died Brunner coal miner disaster so sad xx
Thank you for sharing this important piece of history. It’s always sad to reflect on such events and their lasting effects on families and communities.
That was incredible to see, thank you so much. It must have been terrifying and then the aftermath. It all looks very lovely now, thank you for showing us.
Great to see some honest discussion. So true labour never knew how to run New Zealand. Left it to the Maori to make more of a mess of it. Now the new government has a lot of catch up work to complete.
I no it's some one's shit rubbish and it's just sicking to see the council's should set camera's up it's no brainer shouldn't have eney thing to do with costs the council make the big bucks don't they
My number one favourite place to go for a holiday. We go at least once a year, heading up there again in 4 weeks 😊. Top picks, the gelato place, The Pump House, Up The Garden Path, The Lolly Shop (behind up the garden path), and you can to the pools too if you like that sort of thing.
The annual pass costs $99, which sounds like a lot at the time, but it covers unlimited rides on both the tram and gondola for a whole year from the date of purchase, so it pays for itself reasonably quickly if you're a local who likes to ride either.
