I'd say New Recruits is worth the RP, since you can start your army with a large number of minimal size units and get them tons of EXP, then expand your squads of hardened veterans into larger game sizes without having to get fresh rookie units to fill in the gaps.
I find it more efficient to start with the unit size you’d want already. Some are more math-effective only with a certain amount of models. (e.g 6x Tyranid Warriors)
True. If we're building a starting roster to actually play the game and have a coherent list from the get go. But I wonder if some playtesters tried to optimize the fun out of the game. You know how some players can get. In an actual game with friends I'd prbably suggest the same house rules as you do.
Awesome content! I’ve seen a million battle reports on RU-vid, but this is sooo different in a refreshing way! This inspired me and some of my friends who normally only ever play match play to give crusade a try!
I really liked this episode, even if it took a little while longer to edit. Loved the scenario, as it feels it has potential, like the rest of the series it seems to have. Please keep up the hard work, it will pay off.
Glad you enjoyed it! I definitely want to do an after-action video around the whole process of producing this series. There's a lot of work on the script that I would love to share, once the spoiler plot points have been cleared.
@@CrusadeHouse I think narrative play is so much more interesting than roll dice, move model, attack, next turn. Narrative has more substance and is way more engaging. Keep up the good work. Hopefully this does pave the way for more interesting story driven battle reps.
Thank you! This whole series has been an interesting experiment to get my feet wet with producing this kind of batrep content. Can't wait to try out full 40k games in this style.
Thanks! They’re very much overlooked by most 40K media. There are so many key roles within the Chapter that need fulfilling; Medics, logisticians, sentries etc. They deserve more recognition than they get.
Awesome stuff! I'm a little late to the party, but I really hope you're making more! Are you gonna be using crusade rules to give the forces XP and such?
I love the campaign and setting but the default noises used for taking actions is pretty grating, especially on headphones. I'm definitely still staying tuned tho
Hey, thanks for that. It definitely was a challenge to produce the series. Hopefully soon, I’ll have more resources to hire VAs. I’ve found some already, and I intend to engage them for the next series 🙂
Seeing this video upload made me very excited to see what happened after such an amazing part 1 and it didn't disappoint. Excellent work. I am absolutely in love with narrative style battle report that both you and Heresy Era do and I can't wait for the next part. Keep up the great work
Fantastic work on the story so far. I’m just about to start my own campaign with a friend of mine. It’s going to be a vs campaign T-Sons vs Necrons. You’ve given a lot of ideas and motivation for how we’re going to go about it. Keep up the good work
Love the Narrative writing and cinematography! Also if you would like any voice actors, I have done voice acting in the past and have a voice that fits some of your characters. Feel free to reach out or if you post a casting call I’ll be there
Hey thanks! Good to meet you, let's get in touch! I will be planning for the next narrative campaign in the coming months, would love to find voice actors for it. Drop me an email at the.crusadehouse@gmail.com
