I find this scene interesting. It might be the only part of the Mad Max trilogy (the Mel Gibson ones) that has a hint of something supernatural going on. It's only an idea, but it seems that the psychotic confidence of the nightrider is removed when he loses the game of chicken with Max. At that moment the 'spirit' of the road that fueled the nightrider, possibly for years, in his quest to ravage and pillage behind the wheel left him. When he lost the game of chicken, the 'spirit' jumped to Max, who began pursueing the Nightrider (and I guess was trying a pit maneuver) and Max became a more worthy host for the 'spirit'. Listen to the Nightrider's words when he starts crying when he realizes it left him; "It's gone! It's all gone! There's nothing left!" Even the Nightrider's girlfriend doesn't understanding what's wrong with him, it was just a game of chicken, it should be no biggie one way or another. Something else seems to be going on. I would posulate that this 'spirit' stays with Max throughout the the films, helping him survive, but driving him further crazy and isolating him.
Crazy theory: Max didn’t check if the Toecutter was dead and drove one. Turns out was was alive and went to become the bad guy from Fury Road, played by the same actor.
Be still my dog of war I understand your pain We all lost someone we love But we do it my way We do it my way Fear is our ally That gasoline will be ours Then, you shall have your revenge
Chiana ZM, an all Saints Saints, such a thing has never been done. Boeing (sigh do I have to): 747 confirm. Cav: self eat pact. me: tibet curable, barks, like Q nes.
This ending missed the point of Paul as he’s not some all supernatural powerful god like being who can make it rain as he’s actually a man who plays god. That rain would kill all the worms as water is poisonous to the sandworms, destroy the spice, make space travel impossible and bring doom to the galaxy. At least Denis understood Frank when he knows Paul is a false messiah as Paul is not Luke or Neo
Both his real father and Thulsa created Conan , his father taught him the power of steel, thulsa taught him the power of will Dropping his fathers sword and thulsa head symbolizes the unity of both into what he is
My brother and I use to live near this junk yard when we were kids, and every summer we would go there and play “Mad Max” We’d be dressed up in football shoulder pads and hockey mask while using unloaded BB guns as our weapons
Unpopular opinion, i think all ships should have a self destruct sequence to prevent them from falling into enemy hands , of course should only be used as a last resort to prevent capture of a ship
Valeria IS the ONLY Woman Warrier that could stand by her man Conan the Barbarian lovers to the end and beyond .... Thanks dad for taking me to the movies to see this great movie .
The sound of the vehicles...give whoever did the sound work a lifetime chunk of the proceeds of the franchise. The Interceptor had a panther like growl, yet a banshee's wail. The sound of Toecutter's motorcycle, and Max's first pursuit vehicle sounded kick ass! All around, the sound was top drawer.
What’s better about this film than all the others , is the complete REALNESS of it all. The sets. The machines. The people. The costumes. All totally real , and functional. No CGI special effects. No filters to make everything look orange. The later movies look like fantastical cartoons. But this film, you could BELIEVE every single character, and every bit of action. We will never have that again in film
