Just found out today I have this. Definitely not looking forward to the long road ahead to recovery. But very thankful for an answer. This is an excellent video to show my family and give them an actual image and video explanation.
I bought the tester pack and love it. However I am not replacing it every 10 days. As long as you clean them thoroughly every morning there is no need to keep spending more.
Hi, I definitely have a narrow palate, I have had Nasal/Sinus/turbinate reduction and still struggle a bit to breathe through my nose freely, I am a very healthy 58 year old, can I still have MSE if I get surgery to release the palate fusion?
I wish all the doctors and dentist that I've gone to as a very young child around 4 years old, would of figured that I had a tmd. 28 years old now nd I have no insurance barely enough money 2 even live on my own and now my tmd is getting worse and worse and I just want to fucking cry everyday. I have nobody 2 help me nd I have zero chance to ever get the medical attention I need. Absolutely horrible 😞 it's legit affects my everyday life. I've only just recently learned about month or so ago that tmj disorders can also affect the way you sound when u speak. So been bullied since a child can't get into any relationships because who wants to be with a man who sounds funny when he speaks and is always tripping over his words. Fucking hate this and I Absolutely neeed HELP and I dint know where to go for it. Desperately want to stop feeling like shit every single day and sure in hell don't want to live like this until the day I die. 😢😢. I really need help
I totally can relate to you ❤ I wish my dentists when I was a kid would have told me to get braces. I just found out I have this exact problem. Costed me 500 dollars to find out. I have no dental insurance either and the medical insurance I pay for isn't the best. I'm in pain 24/7 my jaw constantly hurts. It's caused my ears to pop and fell full all the time. I also have a hard time talking, especially once it hits like noon. By then my jaw is so sore I can't talk normal can't eat well. It's awful. I wish you so much healing on your journey ❤️ this is a terrible thing we have to deal with everyday.
@hunnilove4153 100% I thought I was only fucking person to have it this bad. Fuck this fucking shit. How can 1 small god damn joint be so discomforting and cause so many problems? Even the way we sound. It's literally a turn-off when trying to date. I remember as a kid, other kids pick on me because of my voice. To me I sound normal. But after hearing kids and even adults, though adults r more mature and nice. I just came to accept that I sound different. And as I got older I figured it's my speech that turns away girls. Than that resulted in me losing all hope in ever being in relationship. Shit can literally affect every day living
I have this and the paid is not comparable with any other pain it feels like a constant pressure and pain when you turn, but the results are awesome I have been wearing it for 1 year

Hi Dr. I have a question when my kid have the impact canine exposed #22 she started with popping her left jaw isn’t normal Thera are any studying referred if have an oral surgery have this problems. Thank you
Is there anyone with your same understanding in the United Kingdom preferably London. Please I need help and I can’t breath from my grinding and my jaw is recessed please help.
Is there any way to connect for guidance? I had orthodonture as a kid, I think the wrong things were done (headgear), I'm not trying to cause problems but rather seek a solution. I went to ask questions about what to do and I was treated like an internet-obsessed crazy person. My tongue points to my left in my mouth and folds down because there isn't enough room. My centerline is off. My left side is rounded out more than the right, leaving a bigger gap than the other side. It affects my breathing. It causes pain in my masseter and shoulders. But when I went to ask questions, I was told that I'm getting pain from the jaw hinge and I just need retainers, and that's not it. My lower jaw presses forward on my upper jaw and it flattens my front bottom teeth, so unless that's addressed, new orthodonture seems pointless. I just am so discouraged because I can't be taken seriously.
This is all a lie. Tongue against the roof of the mouth is what causes TMD and tight muscles. A constant swallowing mode. These dentists have no shame at all.
ive noticed breathing through my nose that my right side gets more air than the left side. its almost like the lower portion of my left nostril and upper left lip is getting pushed down towards the right side of my lower jaw where the upper and lower lip meet.
I just want you to know i found this book right before my daughter was going to go and through conventional orthodontics. Had a conventional orthodontist tell me my daughter's teeth needed pulled. Found out about FJO right before her orthodontics were to start, I pulled the plug on it and went to a functional jaw orthopedics dentist instead. She had her orthodontics done at the age of 14, The conventional orthodontist made me wait until she was 14. I wish I had known about it sooner!! It cost $1,000 less than the conventional orthodontics, was covered by my insurance the same as conventional orthodontics, took a year less time. and her Orthodontics turned out fabulous without any tooth pulling or shaving of the teeth. She's 30 now, hasn't had to have a retainer, still looks amazing, and no long term problems with airway, bite, TMJ etc. I believe this also resolved a longstanding bedwetting situation that she had struggled with. Thank you for putting this out there!
Do opposite of what caused this to you, don't mouth breath, keep the tongue up, when swallowing dont push side way push front, keeping the tongue up will not cause grinding. In this video the subject has class 2 div 1 where the lower incisors is hiding behind the upper incisors which is not a proper occlusion or bite, pushing the tongue sideways causes bilateral openbite and the incisors over erupt, in my opinion do the opposite, push on the front (when swallowing)and keep the tongue up (as much as you can)and breath through your nose.
@@hanatakumi2523I guess you have an overbite or deepbite so don't try to touch your molars *with your tongue* when resting, if you do the swallowing correctly your tongue will get glued automatically to the palate without touching your molars. Don't push your tongue sideways too. Just try to not have any contact between the tongue and the molars subconsciously. And when mewing keep your molars together like in chewing position not in biting position with incisors together and very slightly jut your lower jaw.
I have a minor tongue tie (I have corrected it with stretches) and it was one of the major causes of my neck hump, poor posture, and flat feet. It's been a weird journey following the dominos through the body!
Ciao dottore! Con classe 2 nella zona sagittale, ma anche affollamento dei denti nella mandibola di un paziente di 8 anni, posso applicare Bionator? Grazie!
Thank you Dr Mahony, I have a similar case, and I almost remove the 7s. Your video make my day. I will be grateful if you share the papers for this technique.
