My name is Massine, I do speedruns/J-RPGs content. I'm from Morocco and I live in Auvergne, France.
I'm in love with J-RPGs since I'm 12 yo. My dad bought me a PS2 with FFXII (a random pick as he doesn't knew much about video games) and I was like "what is that?". Since then I grinded and enjoyed many other cult titles, both modern & traditional
I started speedrunning games I enjoy early 2023 with Octopath Traveler 2. I focused mainly on solo categories (Throné, Agnea, Temenos, Partitio). I'm currently part-time working on getting Galdera category done fast.
This channel is a repository for my Personal Bests & strats from my runs and experiments (mostly OT2 content for now).
The fact that Agnea can do high damage as armsmaster isn't specifically why she's not useless, because every character can do that, but you only get one armsmaster. Agnea's latent power is why she's not useless.
What I like about Octopath Traveler 2 is that even though there are tiers for characters and classe, nobody is really bad. They are all at least decent and with the right job combo, you can make them op.
Ngl, the only time I use Agnea is when I use her latent power + have max bp at start of battle + spring boots (inventor class) so that my party starts their turn first for a long while every battle. Aside from that, I use her shield break ability and that’s all it for her.
I feel like some encounters have higher success rates with equal danger level, I often get easy escapes with 1-revenant encounters Not sure about this tho
Jokes aside I was honestly thinking she was pretty trash, however upon further investigation and research, she's actually a pretty good support. Her Divine skill Sealticge's Seduction + Archnist skill with reflect is a life saver. Wish I'd tested this out with apocathery & rehabilitate with Temmos
She can also buff both elemental and physical damage and with the right NPC summon can grant bonus BP and fire runes to the party. Her EX skills are both really good too, making the entire party go first in turn order while doing AOE wind damage is amazing, and extending the length of all buffs on the party is always appreciated
@@louiesatterwhite3885 yeah the ex skill is definitely very effective when utilised properly, thanks for the extra information. I knew sometimes she could summon a a character automatically. I'll have to experiment a bit more with her, currently I'm trying to beat the final chapter & said final optional boss, for the the trophy I mentioned previously.
@@michaelthompson785 If you have an npc following you, they will appear any time you use a "dance" skill like Lion dance, peacock strut, or dagger dance. They provide an augmenting effect in that cade. If you summon them fully, they get their own turn where they do different things depending on the npc.
@@louiesatterwhite3885 ahhhh so that's how it works! 😃 Cool, yeah I think I usually have a few NPCs with me I probably need to start using them properly a bit more. I was just like oh they've shown up 😅 cool looks like I've got a buff for something 🤔
bro didnt know about the faster path the main entrance lol, Do you know about the faster Main entrance path in Dine? you dont have to follow the pylons if you know the map
You should look into exactly how much of that lost woods area is necessary. During my playthrough I didn’t trigger Temenos’s second dialogue about needing to go back to town, only the first one. It might not be necessary to go up there at all? Or at least, the second dialogue isn’t necessary
I don't get it. I was expecting some kind of gag, given the video's length. But instead it's just showing a random clip of the exact opposite of the video title.
@@gurvmlk The title is clearly ironic, given it's in brackets which indicates it's a quote from someone else and not an actual statement from the person that uploaded this video. The video is mocking the title on purpose, that's the point.
Much like the very first Octopath Traveler, there isn't a useless character in the entire game. They are all very well designed and have at least one or two good passives as well. I love literally every character. Love this game. It's like a slightly better remake of part one. Better story I think.
eh, i like the older hunter better than the new one, Ochettee feels like an off-brand Dora the explorer. other than that, it's all a solid enough improvement.
While all classes had their merits, some were objectively vastly better than others in the first game. In Octopath 2, there’s significantly better balance between classes. The best part is that the balancing was done largely having the weaker classes double down on their intended uses. Between the initial adjustments to some class skills, introducing the array of character specific abilities, and a new set of secret jobs that had applicable uses for more than one character make using the full cast much more enjoyable.
i think the 2nd game is better in almost every aspect so its way better than the first. I do love the first game though but the second game definitely improved a lot of things
