A feel good video. I watch it very often. But, that’s gonna change as of today! Too many ad interruptions. It didn’t when I first watched it. WTF with the intrusive ads? I’m outta here!!!
Out of most of NYC, I love the primal raw feel of South Bronx and the overall vibe of Queens, especially in rainwalks. Not much into the "modern" shiny cityscape, trying to look all cyberpunk. I like the "ghetto-ish" run-down look, with dirt and rust, an environment that is still holding on before nature takes it over completely. The rain seems to enrichen that vibe. It's hard for me to put in proper words, but it just does. Maybe I'm just "artsy-fartsy" that way.🙂
I watch alot of NYC rain walk videos, several of em. And in every one, I see and love the same two things: rain (of course) and Sabrett hot dog carts! Rain and Sabretts, yes.❤ San Diego hardly gets rain and certainly does not have Sabrett dog carts. People here don't even know what a Sabrett is. My two fave things while watching. And I'm on the wrong coast... Just saw a non-Sabrett cart in the rainwalk, advertising 2 dollors for their dog. Pretty good price. Here in San Diego, I won't say the name of the establishment, they want TEN DOLLARS for a hot dog. They went out of business immedately.
GOOD AFTERNOON. THANK YOU FOR THAT WORK OF ART. YOU ARE SEEN A LOT OF VIDEOS BUT VERY LITTLE WITH THOSE DETAILS. I LEFT NEXT TO YOU AT 149TH AND GRAND CONCORD. BUT I WORKED AS A TAXI DRIVER IN THE MEGA BASE AND IN ULTRA. 16 YEARS. MY EYES FILLED WITH TEARS WHILE SEEING SUCH BEAUTIFUL DETAILS AND SEEING THOSE RAINY DAYS IN NEW YORK AGAIN. GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL WORK.

Y LO SEGUI POR TODAS Y CADA UNA DE ESAS TRAVESIAS. GRACIAS PORQUE HACE 17 AÑOS QUE VIVI EN EL BRONX. 225 Y MALBLE HILL. PERO TRABAJE COMO TAXITA EN LA BASE MEGA Y EN ULTRA. 16 AÑOS. MIS OJOS SE LLENARON DE LAGRIMAS AL VER TAN HERMOSOS DETALLES Y VOLVER A VER ESOS DIAS DE LLUVIAS EN NEW YORK. DIOS LES BENDIGA SIEMPRE HERMOSOS TRABAJO.
We don't really get serious snows here in the UK these days, so believe me when I say that seeing it fall on your cities like this looks absolutely magical 😊
I woulda LOVED going on this walk. The rain, the old buildings, that South Bronx vibe. Everything's old, vintage, well-used, classic of the scape. The trees, an el-train rattling by, the storefronts, the traffic on the slick-shiny wet streets. Not like here in San Diego. Yeah, I live here (and not fond of it much anymore), and it's NOTHING like this video. This has more of an earthy vibe, while SD is NOT. Here the weather is the opposite, I think our city sucks because it doesn't care about much "heritage," and the human element is so superficial. I'd like to live in South Bronx because it's so raw, earthy, perhaps "primal" in a way.
In general, snow tends to decrease traffic volume. Snowfall and icy road conditions can lead to road closures, accidents, and drivers choosing to stay off the roads altogether due to safety concerns. Additionally, public transportation services may be disrupted, further reducing the number of vehicles on the road. As a result, snow typically leads to decreased traffic volume as compared to normal conditions.
Snow can make it harder for pedestrians to get hit by vehicles for a few reasons:Reduced Vehicle Speeds: Drivers tend to slow down in snowy conditions due to reduced visibility and slippery road surfaces. Slower vehicle speeds give pedestrians more time to react and cross streets safely.Increased Awareness: Snowy conditions often require drivers to be more attentive to their surroundings, including pedestrians. The contrast between the white snow and dark pavement can make pedestrians more visible to drivers, reducing the likelihood of accidents.Fewer Pedestrians: In areas experiencing heavy snowfall, fewer pedestrians may be out walking due to the discomfort of walking in the snow or the desire to stay indoors. With fewer pedestrians on the road, the chances of pedestrian-vehicle collisions decrease.Altered Traffic Patterns: Snow can lead to changes in traffic patterns, with some roads becoming less congested as drivers choose to stay home or take alternate routes. Reduced traffic volume can make it safer for pedestrians to cross streets, as there are fewer vehicles to watch out for.Overall, while snow can create hazardous conditions for both pedestrians and drivers, it can also have the unintended effect of reducing the risk of pedestrian accidents by slowing down traffic and increasing driver awareness. However, it's important for pedestrians to remain cautious and vigilant when walking in snowy conditions, as visibility can still be reduced, and some drivers may not adjust their speed accordingly.
Yeah, snow is good. We don't have snow in Baku yet, it snowed last year in January. As before there is no snow to make people happy. Snow is this purity and clean air. Happy New Year to everyone! 👍 🇦🇿
