The Channelside district in Tampa by itself will be close to the size of Orlando's downtown once the Water St. project is complete. As a commenter stated, Tampa's downtown growth has always been pretty spread out, but the gaps are beginning to be filled in.

Great question! To legally fly your drone in downtown Orlando you'd need a part 107 license and LAANC approval to unlock the airspace authorization zone. The reason is because a large part of downtown is within range of Orlando Executive airport which is a few miles east of the city. @@jonnyhawt8973 freeways are not in every city in the world. Many places have free ways go around the city instead of going through. Anyways, amount of freeways in Orlando is just sad. Freeways increase noise pollution, air pollution, and traffic. They are also a huge waste of space if they are built in the city center
@@carstarsarstenstesenn On the contrary. Freeways increase the flow of traffic. They do not create traffic. Imagine if there was no I-4 or the 408 etc in Orlando? The city would be complete gridlock. There's a reason freeways are built.
@@jonnyhawt8973 "There's a reason freeways are built" I have no problem with freeways in rural and suburban areas. The problem is when they're built through urban neighborhoods instead of circling around the city center.
