i believe this is a song about two guys in a room just playing with like fake knives but at the end they realize what they're doing is weird and instead do a tickle fight
Turns out he wasn't acting, it wasn't his fictional persona. He was actively satirising his own toxicity, making a joke about his own abuse. He played us like absolute fools, not going to lie.
It’s actually not one song. It’s an album by Lemon Demon called “I Am Become Christmas”. If you mean “what is this [album]” as in “I’m confused by this music”, then (TLDR Neil makes weird and unique music) it’s important to note that Neil’s music is hardly traditional. All his songs typically are about odd or nonsensical subjects. For example in this album; aurora borealis is about the end of the world occurring on Christmas, while love blossoms between some eldritch being and a supposedly human being. Meanwhile cryptosanta is (to my understanding) about a company ripping open the fabric of reality to capitalize on presents from some other dimension, and the unintended consequences once a scientist wanders too close.
"I dont miss you i miss the thought of what we were" That line really cuts deep in me reminds me of a relationship i had we fought again and again but we loved each other after the fights but god were they annoying and just talking to them felt like an endurance test I really dont miss them but i miss the thought of what we were
Hey! Its been 2 years now and I'm one of the biggest fans of Lemon Demon! Ive gotten many of my friends into Lemon Demon and they all love it! And yes, this video did help me with my lyrics and I'm happy about it! Lemon Demon is a life saver to me because this band helped me through ups and downs within these 2 years and I'd honestly go back to the first time listening to Lemon Demon because those memories are so comforting :)
Literally listening to this right after listening to mammalian sighing reflex and it- it’s amazing to how much his music has changed between this and his newest solo album. That goes with how much he’s grown as a person and music production as well! YCGMA and MSR will definitely always have a special place in my heart of being my favorite albums from Wilbur soot <3
