I try to do a little bit of everything to shake things up, and bring entertainment for those who want to see what I have to show or say. It's cool to see a rise in subs, but that's not really my goal here, but who knows, that might change as time goes on. Holy crap, THATS what this mod is? 😂 I’d honestly never heard of it but I have unintentionally seen an entire playthrough of it. Zach and Mike do a modded playthrough, but things are obviously more comedic over there. So I just kind of assumed all of the goofiness there was just a series of weird things they added coming together. The Highlanders for example, I thought that was just its own thing with a couple of quests, not part of a whole DLC overhaul. Or Like the “skater dude” tribesman, watching them play it, I kind read that more as “oh, the joke here is the California/Surfer dude accent is basically foreign now”. Honestly, and maybe it’s just skewed from experiencing it that way, but I can’t help but wonder how much of it was unintentionally bad vs intentionally comedic. Edit: oof, didn’t know he “wanted it to be taken seriously” 😂 immediately took me from “maybe he just wanted to be funny” right to “redditor”
Oh wow it's actuallt Cell Block Psycho. The only likable guy in The Frontier dev room. And one of two brave enough to use their voices. Glad you got your confidence up.
I think I finally know what I like about Honest Hearts so much. It's a mix of the characters and the locale itself. I remember most if not all of the main characters, their stories and conflicts. I remember bits of dialogue from Joshua and Follows-Chalk that have stuck with me for a good while. The locales are gorgeous and there are places in the map where I just like to hang out, regular New Vegas doesn't have that. It's genuine, beautiful, and memorable.
For me the dream sequence was something to write home about, because that's where the mod irreversibly broke for me. Requiring that I completely ditch the mod lmao.
my first mod was some Loadout mod that removes the beginning Preorder DLC messages at the game and then puts it into a Loadout Terminal that you get to select at Character Creation once your finished with Ain't that a kick in the head.
i haven't even attempted a Quest mod honestly. i did have an idea for Lone Wolf Radio. a New Ghoulish Radio DJ trying to spread his own narrative and takes on things about the mojave wasteland. But i still need to work on that one possibly. Because well.... I don't think i am a good writer. i like one line throughout that entire first iteration of that mod but the rest of it is dogshit or cringe plus the fact i voiced the radio lines by Artificial Intelligence using xVASynth so..... yeah its not top quality. lmao.
I never played F NV but that was interesting nontheless. Tho the commentaries of your friends were a bit unfitting and took away a lot imo. Id like to have had my own impressions of the dialogue without someone laughing all the time

To be fair, "where did they get the boxcars?" Is a less absurd bit of world design than the pre-war skelleton that the broad who runs the diner never bothered to clear out in FO4.
Loving this world space. Great use of verticality and placing enemies in varied spots. Loving the use of the Manhunt music as well. Seeing this makes me really hype to try this one out. Fantastic work!

Are there any DLC sized mods that are similar to DLC in the way of new perks, possible new traits, SPECIAL increases and level cap boosts? And could some of these mods have that?
6:34 - Showing predisposed bias by admitting you're a mod author yourself. First, if you say you'd not recommend any new mod authors to even attempt this sort of big project - No. It DOES NOT deserve a commendation, I'd even debate calling it ever "finished," if it was still that bugged on release. One of the first things you said about this mod was that it was bugged as fuck. He tried to do too much, to too many inlaid systems, and bit off more than he could chew. Do I fault the ambition; no. Not necessarily. But I'm not about to throw accolades to someone for trying a stunt, and falling flat on their face. I won't laugh at it, I won't enjoy it, but I'm not going to clap that he bothered to try to do it. If he was skilled enough with the systems to know what he shouldn't fuck with... and frankly I agree that Graham really wasn't a character at all that needed to be (though I don't agree with any religious bullshit in general, as an agnostic) then he'd have known how to properly scale the project and it could have in fact succeeded. The point that you title this the most hated mod for new vegas tells me he very much did not. So why the hell would you ever laud him for that? Being willing to put the work in, is not the same as having the skills necessary to do the work the right way. The first time.

Come to think of it, its very weird how some people take the in-universe rumor that homosexuality is common in the legion as fact. In spite of the fact you can meet a former legionare whom was treated horrendously for his homosexuality, his lover executed and him being made a slave.

News update for the mods! The Frontier rework is back and is still being work on with the old project lead giving updates on their discord. Fallout Nuevo Mexico is not canceled, those in charge have put the mod on hiatus due to real life problems. All other mods, Ashfall, Tales of New Reno 3, The Chosens Way, The Odyssey, Come Wander with Me, and Revelation Blues are still being worked with slow updates. Unable to find news on The Gift, maybe dead, maybe not, if someone has info would be appreciated.
