Welcome to my channel, I hope you enjoy my music. My name is Anja, I am 64years old and I live in Utrecht in the netherlands. I play because I love to play. For me it is not a career or a profession. The accordeon is not very popular in my country, before you tube I never met any other accordon players. I love the opportunity to meet so many great accordion players from all over the world and to share my passion for the accordeon. I thank you all for uploading your own video's, they are an inspiration for me. If you have any questions feel free to email me. If you want to hear me play, or if you want to use my music, feel free to mail me. Not here for the money. My thumbnail is a sketch made by Kate Spoering, many thanks Kate.
You are doing really good job Anja. I guess you are bored uploading video on youtube but it is a pleasure to listen you. I just wanted to put a little smile on your face with my short comment because you worth it.
Being a cover, There is no wrong or bad version of this song, or any song for that matter. Anyone that covers a song, singing or playing, should add or change something to make it their own version. If you play the original version, and you play it 100% perfect, then you did not add anything to make it yours or somewhat different. You just played exactly the same thing. I love the movie version, I love Dominique's version and I love yours too. I was living in Belgrade when this movie became a hit and it was a pleasure to walk out on the streets every night and hear so many street musicians, even kids as young as 8/9 years old, playing different songs from the movie at every street corner of the city.
Beautifully played! I grew up in a Venezuelan family of pianists and classical guitar players. So, the melody brings back good childhood memories! I’m new with the accordion. So this piece was a pleasant surprise. From all the accordion versions I found on RU-vid, I must say that the tempo and flow of your interpretation is the best! It truly resembles the spirit of a Venezuelan waltz. This will go to my bucket list :)
Hello Anja, can you help me an sheetmusic for my accordeon diatonique. "Mon Amant de Saint Jean" If you can, will you send it to my mailadresse; harry.aussems@gmail.com
nice job Anja, can't wait to work on this one tomorrow ! I agree best not to feel too tied to the sheet music, but take from the original and the other fine covers. For someone like me, Yann's Amelie album is an accordionist's dream !
gonna look for the sheet music and check out the movie, thanks-- nice playing... happy with the acoustic accordion, feel resistant to the Roland, but, as an apartment dweller, the headphone function would come in handy, as I have to practice outdoors, unless inside I can learn the right hand on my keyboard.
Hello Anja, I have just discovered the movie"Time of the Gypsies" today and loves this song. I have searched who plays the best rendition in youtube and I think it's yours. I will try to write a score from your rendition and to learn it. Thank you, and greetings from France!
Thank you for the great compliment. I know what it is like to fall in love with a melody. My version is not very different as far as the score is concerned. It is the bellows and the timing that are so very important here. I hope you have fun learning this and make a great cover for you tube!
