They should be moving up this year. I really hope so. It’s taking me about three times watching this to really gain the appreciation of each movement and how it goes with the music. I didn’t love it at first watch, but I think it’s the best dance that I’ve seen so far this season.

Incredible strong start with hitting all the beats perfectly! I dont thin Ive ever seen icedancers skate this fastpaced before, which has its own draw, they do need to be careful not to loose precision throughout, there were a couple missed beats or lost synchronicity. im sure itll work out well throughout the season

Your comment is pretty dumb in this particular case. Those costumes have nothing to do with gender discrepancies. Bodysuits are just Marie-Jade Lauriault's style, and she is always wearing them. She doesn't have to.
@@DasRL Yes, women certainly tend to be more glam in this sport. But this also depends on each skaters taste. Not all male skaters want to be so glam, they want to be perceived as manly, especially if they are skating in a pair with a woman, and that's why they prefer simpler costumes. And, sure, many female skaters choices are dictated by gender stereotypes (the majority choose glam dresses or something "sexy"), but in many cases it may also be their personal tastes/preferences/a chance to play dress up. In this case, bodysuits indeed seem to be Marie-Jade Lauriault's personal preference. Most female ice dancers are still wearing dresses for most of their programs.
@@Laura.Vanadzina I agree, she does tend to love a body suit! Evan Bates really dresses down, I always want him to dress up next to the beautiful Madison, he's so handsome but costume-wise always look mis-matched. On the other hand Piper Gilles and Paul Poirer always seem to match nicely. I do get what @DasRL says but in this case I'm not sure they are correct.
