Completely dried colours cannot be used with normal water...you can try some of the other methods...but anyway it cannot be used for any professional projects
I am currently starting a mobile canvas painting buisiness for retirement homes and looking to find some decent quality brushes (3 per person) Can you give me a suggestion of where to order and what 3 would be best. Most places I look to order from only sell sets of 10 or more. I would like to buy about 20 of each brushes to use 3 in a set per person. There was a canvas painting shop here that had nice bristle brushes each had a different colored handle which would be easier to instruct the elderly with which color brush to use. Any suggestions? Your video was very informative. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Kerri, glad my video was helpful...where are you from? Here in my place we get brushes in loose...so I choose to buy them as per my need - like some different size brushes. For workshops or student exhibit works, I would buy them in sets of 10, so that all the students can use. For elderly people - you might only need to buy round and flat brushes, you can do most of the projects with just these 2 types of brushes and won't confuse them as well. If it's acrylics you are going to try, then synthetic brushes will do. They are cheap and as well as durable. What size of canvas you are going to work on? If its small sizes like 8x10, you will not need more than size 10 brush. So your set can contain - 1 round (size 6/8/10 as per the size of your canvas), 1 flat and one detailing brush (size 0 or 00). Hope it helps...let me know if you need any other info to help you with...
@@MadhulaCreations Hi, Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I am in Lincoln, Nebraska. I wish I could buy sets of 10 in all the same size but just cant find them sold as singles. Usuallty in sets. We usually paint 16 x 20" canvas.
@@Kerri007 Tried online? For 16 x 20 you will need at least 12 size brush to fill the canvas properly...small brushes will take a lot of time to do...you could also have some common bigger size brushes apart from the smaller ones, that they can share if required...
Transparency happens depending on the colour you choose and also when the colour is diluted...if you add too much water it will become transparent...also some paints are transparent in nature...you can work little more thicker paint if you are adding water, or you can add layers to make it smooth...
@@MadhulaCreations I finished one yesterday. Thanks for your guidance. Generally i watch multiple videos to understand the process before starting the work. But your video was one stop solution that answered all my questions.
Hello ma'am, how do i get the paint to flow smoothly while painting without thick blotches. I shake the bottle well before use. I also try to use very little paint while loading brush. I notice that while you are painting in 1 stroke you are able to paint a leaf. For me i need to keep loading the brush 2 to 3 times at least. In the process the paint tends to get thick while applying stroke so i don't get a uniform thin line. Secondly before beginning to paint on cotton fabric if i am using paint directly from the bottle is it ok to add a few drops of medium to the bottle and shake it up to make it thin.... if yes then for 1 small bottle of paint how many drops of medium can i add. As i paint i don't want the paint to get thick in the bottle. How to prevent it. Could switching on the ac while painting be the cause for the paint to get slightly thicker in the bottle. Thanks in advance
Depending on the texture and the thickness of the cloth you might need to go over it 2-3 times...thats not a problem - but taking very little paint might also cause the issue...don't overload the brush, but at the same time please use enough paint. Also, sometimes your acrylic paints in bottles would have started to dry, which might give you the rough spread - add a touch of water to make it workable. You can add a few drops of medium too - but don't add it to the bottle directly. Always use a palette to do it. The amount of medium to add will vary according to the company, from 1:1 to just few drops. You can follow the instructions give on the bottle. AC necessarily won't affect your paint - fan or highly humid climate will affect. Just make the paint more workable before applying - that's it.
Cn I add fevicryl medium 1 in fabrics ultra acrylic colour because I wanted to paint T shirt colour I feel my colour is little thick I want to dilute it lil Your video was really helpful
Good evening mam Thank you 🙏 for sharing this tip of gessoying d paper. My doubt is I ve already drawn a sketch on d paper ll it be visible after gesso Or we need to trace it again
Not directly...you can use nail polish remover however acetone is more volatile and flammable...whereas rubbing alcohol is less volatile and less toxic...that's the difference
Hello ma'am I made my painting with both acrylic and poster colours 2 days ago it is suppose to be a gift Should I use the spray varnish now or framing it up and giving would keep it preserved? 🥲 please help me out on this!
This is a great video. No messing about, just straight to the point with great narration. Side note: For some reason this made me feel really calm🤷🏽♂️🤭 I've liked and subscribed, thankyou so much🙏🏼
Think of it this way.. peach is a washed out orange - like a pastel version.. coral is a darker version of a red-orange… all of these falls under the orange spectrum within the pink-orange range.. so if these are base colours(red/pink + yellow + white), to compare peach and coral you could say - coral is a peach with more red and less white
Ya don't use if it's fully dried! Happens often with bottles or if you haven't closed the bottles/tubes properly...for tubes, just press and see if there is still wet paint inside..if yes, cut and store in a air tight jar and use it.
Hello mam I have a question... I have applied light blue acrylic color (in canvas board) as a background but after some days it started fading... (I haven't put it in sunlight) Can you please tell the reason why this is happening and can I do to fix this... Please
There could be various reasons - using inconsistent amount of water or the paint might have gone past their shelf life, the canvas itself might not be properly preped - you can go over the blue area with a different blue paint - also artist quality paints will not fade that quick, unless there is some problem with that particular tube itself if you had used it correctly
Depends on which stage you are in..if you have a portfolio of works and if you are beginning to get clients, start sharing your works offline and online...approach galleries which exhibits your kind of works, you can also plan for group exhibits along with other artists...

You can get it from any stationery shop/local art supply store or you can also get it online..I have given the online links in the description below the video
Please watch the fabric series - video 1 - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uXnUFA2lPC4.html and video 2 - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZSE83MJSccI.html
Once you place the cardstock you should not keep moving the fabric...you can paint it undisturbed, it just takes sometime to dry, then you can move...alternatively you can also use a cloth holder that's used for stitching
Thanks a lot❤️...yes they can be used on fabric...but don't use it too thick...for tips to paint on fabric you can watch part 1 - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uXnUFA2lPC4.html and part 2 - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZSE83MJSccI.html
If you are using only water, it is fine to use on cloth...otherwise, you cannot use them for your professional works or on fabric....restrict the use to your craft projects and study work...this will ensure that you don't waste the paint and money
They are good..I have done a lot of paintings with these paints and I also personally know other artists using them for their professional work and it is good....they have also withstood time.
I have tube paints, which are completely dried out,but they are the recently purchased one,but i don't want to cut the tube, any possible way ma'am, please
If its dried only at the top and you can still feel the paints moving by pressing the tube, you can cut and transfer the good paint to a bottle/jar with tightly closed lid and use it further. If it's completely dried out and it's very still inside, you might not be able to use it. If its recently bought - did you miss to close it fully? If closed properly they would come for years...
@@MadhulaCreations yup i closed them properly, but can i mix it with something to make them normal?, cause half of the tube is dried--and honestly I'm so glad that u have replied and trying solve all our issues, that's a great effort though, thank uu
Last option...cut it and see if it's still wet or at least workable. - if yes, you can add tiny amount of water to make it work...if its not workable, very hard to retrieve back!
