Downtown business and countryside living is close together, linked by short commuting times. Wichita is just the right size.

A classic recruitment film. It stresses the positive aspects of a smaller city - short commutes and (in those days) lower crime rates. But it also tries hard to defy some stereotypes of a smaller city by playing up nightlife, culture and stylish young adults.

Live in this city my whole life🙄 52 years… this was hilarious! 2024 and this city is a joke! Against casinos, Major attractions, best zoo in the country is cool though, no amusement park, boring, bad drivers, very stuck up spoiled aircraft workers proven to build crap airplanes, and outdated century 2, plus a city council and mayor with no ambition to keep up with the rest of the country!

Wichita does suck, mostly because they considered casinos, the new arena, and rapid over growth, it was better when joyland, dragging Douglas, and local bars were available, people went to church on Sunday, kids rode bikes in neighborhoods, schools were better, there was no better place to be in the 70s, 80s then it went to hell!
