Jay was a good competitor to get as far as he got and he seems to tower over his opponents. Seems warwick is successful at using his height advantage over opponents but the Koreans were so much better than anyone else. Jat didn't have answer
If they want this to become a real fighting martial art fo sport, they need to let these guys wear some sort of gloves and allow punches to the face. What combat martial prevent you from striking to the face??? Great sport but stupic rules.
that cut at 8:00 makes my day every time :D I bet he didn't really brake the board with his fingers ( not possible , eventhough there are tales of soldiers using that technique (knife hand ) to pierce enemies chests and pulling out the guts in wars.
They also fought at the 1987 Barcelona championships. This fight looks so similar but they used the end mat of three and helmets had come in by then. I was there with the boys from Ewest club.
Blast from the past, I trained with Chris (great guy)at a couple of seminars or squad training camps in 1986 and 87 great days, master Han from Slough took one of the seminars and he was unbelievable. I think anyway 👍
My current Muay Thai coach used to do Taekwondo and got a Second Dan in 1994, he had his last fight in 2004 I think and he was disqualified cause he accidentally used elbow lmao, he had his last Muay Thai competition in 2008 I think and he won Sitnarong International Muay Thai Championship 2008
What we here see, is the real Taekwondo. With powerful kicks and the kicks harder then now in the new hello kitty style Taekwondo. I mean, that now the Taekwondo fighter more physical flexible than past and the kicks in the training have a good style, BUT they have zero powerful kicks. The kicks are so soft. Very garbage the new hello kitty style Taekwondo.
