Couldn’t see where the oil in the bobbin mechanism was placed. Did you edit your video? Think not. Because no one could see through your hand. You could have pointed to it, first, with a staletto or seam ripper tip. I have this machine I’m thinking of marking the oil holes with a dab of colored nail polish. I need a refresher so, I’ll go watch a different intro demo. I ❤ my 2010. It’s solid, heavy. Only needs supplemental lighting.
Thank U, just inherited an older sewing machine, and I never really knew how or what too do keeping the cleaned, and a great working experience!! Loved Milly's moved out of Area, what a Great find!! Hope too purchases Juki in near future, Appreciate ❤😊
Thank you, Judi! I need to try this as I'm tired of having to trim 1/2 square triangles using the 2, 4, 8, 16 or 32 at-a-time method that involves math and also trimming all of the finished squares! I'll give it a try soon.
Fantastic demo! I have seen a surprising number of makers say that they don't use their knee lift. I have another suggestion: operate the pedal with your left foot. A little bit of muscle memory adjustment, but now it is second nature to me! Using the knee lift without your right foot also having to manage the pedal provides total control. Give it a try!
That is the exact same problem I am having with my TL there is zero clearance between the FMQ foot and throat plate and it’s awful trying to move the fabric around
Check out the RU-vid channel called Rosies art studio. She by far put out the best threading video on this machine. The auto threader is so easy but you really have to know exactly all the little channels thread Hass to go through first.
Bonjour madame aidez moi syl vous plaît j'aimerais tant avoir une machine juki SEMI INDUSTRIELLE COMMENT FAUT LA COMMANDER J'AI JAMAIS COMMANDÉ EN DEHORS DE MON PAYS SYL VOUS PLAÎT AIDEZ MOI CETTE MACHINE ME SERAIT TRÈS UTILE POUR MON TRAVAIL JE SUIS COUTURIÈRE DE MÉTIER MERCI JE COMPTE SUR VOUS BIEN A VOUS JE SUIS DE L'ÎLE MAURICE
I recently purchased my first Juki 2000QI... still having some issues with the tension & threading it. This machine definitely takes some getting used to! Maybe a little tutorial on the tension would be good! Thanks for this tutorial though.
My photo shows this bag has a lining; I wanted to make a lined bag. I am making it now and there is no lining. It's very thin without a lining and the photo is inaccurate. FYI to those watching.
I have realized that now that I purchased this pattern, and a friend also pointed out to me it won't be strong enough for groceries without the lining- which it clearly shows :) Just curious if you figured a way to use this pattern and add your own lining?
@@Sweetestbabycakes I did not add a lining, my sewing skills are not that advanced yet to do that without a pattern. This bag can be used for lighter groceries, or don't fill it all the way. I find it's good for things like a bag of apples, or two bunches of bananas, or lettuce, etc. I would not use it on gallons of milk or lots of canned goods - really heavy and bulky stuff.
I just purchased a Juki about two weeks ago. I learned more from your video than the sales person ever showed me. She had no light for it. I’m definitely going to purchase that little light. Also, I knew nothing about the little door on the bottom. Thank you sew much!,
I got mine, JUKI during COVID all classes were cancelled sooooooo I kept trying to see tutorials. My question is how often to oil the machine? some people say oil often. Is that true!?
I have a pattern called Party of Six by Pat Speth that calls for this ruler. I don't have it so I was wondering just what it was. I do have the Folded Corner Clipper ruler by Creative Grids and I think it might be the same kind of thing. I hope so
Thank you so much for the Super Fantastic video! This TL-2010Q machine is a dream! When threading the machine the manual shows to go down in the first hole and then down through the third hole; whereas you showed to go up through the first hole and then up again in the third hole. I'm going to love this machine! The automatic needle threader worked the first time for me. I was able to thread a couple bobbins and actually sew on a couple scrap pieces of quilting fabric. I'm hoping to improve my piecing accuracy with this machine. I purchased the 1/4" foot for the Juki. I will practice and learn to use the knee lift. Also, I love the fact you can free motion quilt. I've been intimidated in the past, and I rent a longarm machine to do all of my topquilting, but this machine will be fantastic for table runners and other smaller quilts. I will look into getting the Gypsy Hoops as well as the light you showed. Thanks again!
Is it really “a trap door”?! Watch out for those trap doors. I fell through one and landed in a tiger pit in Calcutta. (Looks more like a cover to me.)
