It's hilarious that he talked about "Fuck the music industry, We are writing a song that's called "Don't Belong" And doing a whole moment about fuck Interscope we are just "keeping it Cold" And I will actually sidestep the fact that Rivers from Wheezer wrote their biggest "radio song" Like bro. And what do we get? Terry literally steps in for Amy Lee because her guitarist rightfully quit. And he had to fill in. And by doing so Cold had to take an extreme left turn to even survive. EVERYONE left. Props to Sam for being the real Cold OG drummer. In other videos you can see every band member having a spider on either the equipment, or their body that was clearly visible. Terry is wearing all grey. And to this day I have yet to see a video ANYWHERE where he rocks the Spider. And the first chance he got, he jumped ship. Enough said. I've always blamed Terry for the fact that yes, Cold survived. But they got rocked...just when they were literally sending their message to millions.
What an underrated band! One of my favorites! I remember having a conversation with Tom Maxwell years before Hellyeah. He told me him and Chad Gray from Mudvayne were talking about starting a side project called “Cold White Christ”. That never materialized but it turned into Hellyeah. It was cool to hang with these guys.
Wow thats awesome! My dad saw them with korn and rob zombie back in 2000. Just recently got a poster for the tour and it gave my dad some memories of it
I have a poster of a pic they took after this show! Lajon w brownish hair, John w dreads yes its all the same lineup I recognize all their stage moves! Sevendust 4life!!
Being a screamer and a super melodic hybrid is so hard to maintain...idc what anyone says, its not natural for your vox cords to scream like that night after night
Mansons voice is so unhinged, its the perfect amount of melodic singing combined with frenzied screams. His powerful and mighty voice murdered the cosmos that night, and all that was left was ash.
I can remember Ozzfest at the Gorge amphitheatre in George Washington one of the best lineups ever for the Ozzfest with Slipknot that blew the doors off everything, Rob Zombie ,Slayer, Static-X, Primus, System of a Down, Black Sabbath with Ozzy of course, Godsmack, Deftones & awesome concert
I was in an extreme metal band throughout the 90s. We were one of the biggest in Australia at the time and as aggressive as we knew how. I remember catching up with a mate in 99 and we were talking about what music we'd be listening to. I was talking about how much i was digging napalm deaths words from the exit wound. He just said "mate everything is shit compared to this bamd ive just heard called Slipknot" we listened to it and it took me half an hour to find my socks coz the mad cunts had rocked them off. He was right. Its like they'd nailed what we had all been trying to do. The first 3 slipknot albums are a very special part of my life. Seen them every time they came to Australia with Joey. Never once didmt leave with my jaw hanhing on the fuckin floor.
