Interesting interview. She wanted to give her message, but I didn’t like how she said her dad didn’t protect them and he was one of the wolves. Had it not been for him, there wouldn’t have been a group because there are many families who sing well in the churches, but didn’t know about label signings. No one forced her to have an affair and have a baby by Phillip. She ended up having to sit out on the follow up album, but the group had obligations. But, she didn’t care that her actions could’ve jeopardized or ended their career. Now, she’s decided to focus on outreach fundraising for the youth which is good. But, don’t be upset that your sisters didn’t want to give up their careers/dreams to follow hers. She’s religious, but she’s petty. Flavor to her tone because she’s from Chicago? Learning how to shot because of wolves like her dad? But, wasn’t she a wolf too? Years of therapy still hasn’t helped. Forgiveness is for yourself and others. He’s no longer here and never did anything to her which is why the sisters had a problem with her. She’s all about herself. Sorry to hear about her first husband’s death, even though they’d been divorced decades prior. To her second failed marriage. And most importantly, deepest sympathy for her son’s passing. Life keeps going. Her parents, her sister, and many of the influential people who helped take their career to greater heights have passed. Life is too short to be bitter or harbor resentment. She should understand this because of some of her choices.

Sheila retired several years ago. Pamela & Wanda's daughter Wyann took the other 2 spots. After Pam suddenly passed about 3 years ago, Wanda's other daughter Wendy came in Pam's spot. Currently, Wanda, her middle daughter Wyann & Shanice Wilson's Mom Crystal Wilson perform 2gether as the Emotions.

Tribe is honoured when the heirs benefit from the actions of the all...each and every one together. Thank you Julia for honouring your own choices where Brian McKnight is concerned. He was a choice for you and...you were his choice at the time that your choices were made. Maturity is demonstrated when both Mother and Father honoure the choices that they both made at the time that those choices were made regardless of the outcome. I see this interview is old it's unfortunate seems like there grow up in a gated community thinking there accepted like white folks. The serious issue I really have with dude that have musical talent there personalities never matches the talent. Plus if not the same as Jon B. , Pink, Lenny Kravits your gonna be exploited in the negative. I forgot Drake they purposefully ignore us yet steal our gifts to benefit them more then benefits us.

You two touched on a very important topic. "Depression " I felt this! Victor! I get everything you said. This is why The Emotions are my favorite group...My friend asked me why they were my favorite. I told her because they had a song that fit every emotion that I had growing into womanhood. The ups and downs of it all. I'd listen to my girls and their songs and lyrics would sooth my spirit!!
I'm venturing out using more of the apps that I'm paying for. The Emotions are my favorite group in the world. I was blessed to see them last year at the Horseshoe Cassino in Indiana! What a treat! But uh, I can't agree with some of these comments about Jeannette. Hey, if I were to go back in my history...open my closet, lort! All kinds of shenanigans would jump out! We all have a past. You just can't go back there. We grow and thank God we move on! We all are not what we experienced in the past. I embrace Jeannette's growth. She's on her grown woman now!
