The citadel was initially a French fortress It's back side (Plains of Abraham) was much weaker Because of this Much was said that the (very significant) defeat of the French was due To the fact that Montcalm brought his troops out to fight the British (Wolf) on flat terrain Instead of fighting from the fortress ! ! ? The French never thought the British would manage to sneak up a whole regiment up a steep ravine (L'Anse au Foulons) behind Quebec (Note the British fleet had been anchored in front of Quebec for weeks And winter was fast approaching - precluding any winter attacks) For a very long time the Québécois hated the English (Canadians) But I think that deep down they hated the French Even more ... as they never came back As Napoleon sought no future in this snowed land
There's separate dining hall meal plan fees. Students who have kitchens in their dorm usually buy dining dollars or swipes for occasional meals. I didn't so I got the unlimited dining plan hehe.
