Ha! Nice. I've been using a peli air 1555 like this for nearly a year now. I mean it's kinda creepy how similar you've went, but to be fair it's what makes the most sense so it stands to reason that others came to the same conclusion. I will say if you rap your snake in a more oval configuration it will fit better and be slightly less tall. I use a big figure 8 and stick other things in the 4 slots it leaves. I always wondered in these kind of setups, why wouldn't you utilise the mixer not only for monitors but for FOH too. Mix with an ipad e.g. and provide the the venue's FOH console with a stereo signal. This way you don't have to mess with all the snakes /splitters etc.
A few reasons. IEM's and FOH require lots of different EQ's, Verbs, delays. we play a lot of club size (100-500 cap rooms) and mixing engineers want full control over what FOH sounds like. In theory your idea could be correct for smaller band playing local bars/shows but FOH engineers will hate it the more you scale.
Great song ! But I have to say I disagree with your strategy. I came here to see Dive cover in pop punk. That video has a chance to be viral and expose you to more people because it’s so SEO friendly. Why hold your audience hostage if the song is ready to be released? Just my take! Hope your channel grows mega!
While its close, the dive cover isn't done yet! It's in a decent spot but not a priority at the moment. Using something like this were able to gage enthusiasm to see how badly people want to hear it! That original Instagram video only has 78K views with around 3.5K likes and while it may have generated 470+ instagram followers what matters to us is people sticking around for more than just a cover. With those numbers though, it could've been an "overnight" goal reach if all of those people really wanted a full version. Also, were only 200 subs off from 1,000 and if any of our long time followers would probably tell you we didn't need to hit the full goal to release it/ prioritize it. We essentially just wanted to see a "spike" to show interest. All that being said I never said the cover would be here on youtube, in the video I said it would be released on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. I don't mean any of that to be combative, just explaining my train of thought!
