Wow, I can't imagine living in a moment like that! It's so dreamlike and the animals themselves are truly magnificent! Goliath groupers are awesome fish!
My Bermudian Grandad told me long ago that he and his friend were diving on a recent wreck off bermuda in the 1940's and saw a grouper they said looked bigger than a VW bug!
The biggest i saw when spearfishing was 2m+ (6'7") surely a Atlantic goliath grouper, and it was really one of a kind and knows by all locals, they are the biggest grouper you can see, the ones in the Bermudas are 1.5m/5' max (black grouper), and a vw is 4m/13'2" long, while i have no doubt your grandad saw an incredible specimen (1940's) you also make nice rum in the Bermudas.
I found a perfect quartz arrowhead at Laurel falls after the Easter landslide of 2020. Next summer I’m going to drop it on top of Atticula Lodge where it will rest in peace at 350 foot. Its currently being showed and displayed at numerous places from my good friend Tricia from Jocassee Lake Tours.
@@isoxvert98_67 Just about every lake created by the Army Corps of Engineers has the same story. Just go to the lake and have fun, that land was sold, and evacuated before it was flooded.
We rarely see them diving (2 in 20 years). That said when they do see us they move away. They are jsut too big for us to bother with. They want prey they can take without damaging themselves. does worry me at all.
I've been diving in springs (including rainbow river here in Florida), but never this type of River... very interesting. I like all the fish hanging out under the ledges.
The springs tend to bore me. For most springs you can see everything in them in a few minutes. I love the river dives as there is always something new to see and different terrain over the course of the dive.
The water is much clearer than it was for me about a month ago! with all the dumping we had a brown haze in the first ten feet that made it practically a night dive. great turtle footage!
