I need to win the lottery!!! My late husband is from the area and every time we’d pass this property I’d sigh and he’d say well win the lottery and we’ll buy it… but after watching this, I’d change nothing! Every time the owner talks about the changes I cringe. This is a simply charming home…
How good is the internet and mobile services in Carabou, Maine? Who is the central provider for that area for internet and mobile phones? Is there service at least better in the spring and summer? If contact is limited in this area, due to long-term power outages over the winter months, do people normally pay their bills ahead of time? Do doctors provide long-term prescriptions over the winter months? Lastly, what are staple items to stock up on for the home and everyday life, if snowed in during the winter?
This is all basically BS. No mention of where you can live if you have a family. Too much mention of bars and restaurants. Portland is becoming a place where only the rich out of staters can afford a mere condo on the peninsula. Hey, remember that condos carry that extra monthly price for maintenance that will never decrease. As far as the islands go, there is nothing there for anyone and no reason to visit them. Most of them are part of the City of Portland. All the islands have very high taxes and few services from the City of Portland. One other thing... from December to April Portland is very cold, very snowy and very icy. And from April through June the weather basically sucks!
What about the beggar district, the dope district ,the queer district and the criminal district,sorry Portland is going the way of its western namesake Woke!
I Lived In Riverton, Went to School at Lincoln JHS, & Deering High School!!! This is my PREFERRED area to return HOME!!! I used to live in Riverton Park Housing Project!!!

i'm hoping more come on the market on the peninsula because right now there is like nothing. would be very interesting for me to find a two bedroom in a former single family home, something old with charm :') i check everyday!
