Hi Jim, love the channel… another S2000 owner from Houston. I just got an Insta360 X4 and I was just curious if the suction mount you were using was one from Amazon or the official Insta360 one? I’m weary about this thing falling off on the highway LOL.
standard length hub may be the way so you don't hit dash. Great video & thanks for sharing. Waiting for my RAPFIX GTC to arrive soon. Nice job showing how much resistance it has. Very high quality piece.
Its actually some weird reaction with the anodized finish of the wheel, I have the version with red stitching and anywhere i touch the metal it leaves that weird residue. Ceramic coated it and now its doesn't react anymore for now
the tilt hitting the dash would drive me crazy!! haha still a really cool install though. i kinda wish i went with the tilt instead of the quick release that i have
yea I cut 2 of the ridges when I should've cut 1 smh lol oh well. I hope anyone that watched the vid learned from my mistake and uses it as reference lol Thanks for tuning in I appreciate it!!!
So glad I found this video. Just got my mesh boot delivered today and I’m gonna be doing this same thing to my S2000 tomorrow! Video came in clutch bro!
Only question I have is why is the light dimmer when 12V is sent to the red wire. I love the brightness when opening the door but would like that with the door closed. I installed a switch so that customer could choose to run them or not with doors closed but they are so dim.
Can you show all the Spoon additions you have made, and tell which ones were worth the money and time to install them. The comments about rattling is important. The comment about the motor mounts making the engine rattle, means I would not buy them.
check out my previous videos I've made so far regarding anything jdm parts going on my s2k i try to explain in detail and give my opinion on the parts hope it helps make your decision on them. and in regards of your question about the engine mounts rattling I personally think it's what the material the mounts are made, in comparison to the OEM mounts its a lot more stiff but not by a lot and to me I personally do not mind the vibration its not unbearable or extreme but I understand it may not be for everyone.
Man I just put one on a few days ago - I couldn't get the bolt holes to line up with the car flat - had to jack up the passenger side really high to I guess flex the frame a little bit to get it to line up. Mine is an 03 so I'm not sure if that's normal but it's on now. Haven't been for a canyon cruise yet but I'm curious to try all the mounts now.
great video! I'm not one to bring about negativity but I've just never in my life heard of a company that forced you to agree to not talk about their product online, after giving them your money haha I just can't understand how that makes sense it almost sounds communistic glad you're stoked on the outcome!
overall, pretty happy with the fitment on the trim no complaints. regarding the terms and agreements on the part, was a "too long, didn't read" situation honestly so I just decided to not talk about it on video besides its purpose. went back and read it again looks ok to share the site, so if your in the market mitamotorsports.com Thanks for tuning more to come!!
Any way you could DM the company name that made the switch cover, or at least the platform you bought it from? I would like to look at what else they have. Thanks!
Hey bro what was the bleeder you used? I have the motive power bleeder which pushes the air from the brake master cylinder reservoir cap (it comes with a hose that goes to a sealed replacement brake master cylinder reservoir cap that seals the air pressure and pusher it out of the system it does not suck the air from the bleeder.) This one works for cars like the 10th gen type r that deletes the clutch reservoir and the clutch fluid comes from the brake fluid reservoir.
@@jimboski thanks bro, I could have used this when I had to do my clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder on my 944 S2. Paid a shop to do it but who cares? At least I tried. I used the crappy harbor freight brake bleeder but it didn’t work with my compressor. I can use this on my CL-S and RSX-S clutches. Don’t need to use this on the type r since it shares the clutch and brake reservoir and I can use my motive bleeder for that.
As much as I would like to add the 3rd brake light with this duckbill, I feel like modifying the duckbill would cost more to do than the actual piece itself with paint and labor included to do it. Honestly, I wouldn't mind doing it in the future to make it much more unique.
Thanks for subbing!! 👍 In regards of the modulo suspension, to be honest never been interested. seems to be more of a oem+ type of suspension in my opinion, still looking to see if anyone has bought a set to compare to the stock suspension just out of curiosity.
Don't forget the temp gauge mod if you have an AP1!!! I haven't done it yet but honestly if you plan on keeping the car forever, it WILL save the engine at some point.
