I always love catching up with you. Thanks for sharing all your projects. The STEM socks are really cool. Knitting has gotten me through a few kids at the hospital moments, too. Glad she is okay. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
oh wow, love your Rock It Tee! Beautiful colors and perfect fit. I have reknitted several things-- after realizing I wasn't happy with fit. It's always worth it in my opinion. 😊
Thank you for caching us up on all your projects. Your daughter got quite a few great looking pieces! It’s a pleasure to sit and knit and watch - never apologize for how few podcasts you make- the ones you do are great . That sweater is a masterpiece!
Hi Niina, I enjoyed seeing all your lovely knitting and the changing scenery! Nice to catch up with you and I hope you have a restful and enjoyable summer.❤
So nice to hear from you after long time, but sometimes life happens and you have only limited hours. Really nice socks you have made and the sweater was gorgeous! Hope to see you again sometime soon. 😊 Have a lovely summer time!
So happy to be able to spend time knitting and watching your update. Enjoy your summer holiday. I look forward to seeing all your socks. Going down a rabbit hole can be fun!
Kiva nähdä sinua! Hyvää kuluvaa vuotta! 😊 Aivan ihanat tuli laukuista ja sukista, onnentyttöjä. Toivottavasti kevätlukukausi on sinulle rennompi ja jää enemmän aikaa itsellesi.
Glad to see you again. I was all ready to ask you where you found Patons Kroy in Finland because I've wanted to try it but then you said that it was sent to you by a viewer. :)
Your teaching sounds challenging - but rewarding! Commuting for an hour in heavy traffic is common where I live, it’s never fun! Have you listened to new podcasts or audio books on your commute? So nice to see you and your projects.
Actually I drive to work to a small city so the traffic isn't too heavy but there is a risk of moose and the like. 😱 So far I haven't really listened to audiobooks or podcasts because the sound system in our car isn't great but I'm thinking about getting a bluetooth speaker so that I could do that. Fortunately I car pool some of the days so I have someone to talk to in the car.
Kiitos neuleseurasta.
You were so patient with the mosquitoes - they are so pesky! Itchy! That green hat is so nicely finished at the top. I need to try the Chinese Waitress cast on again, it’s been ages, it looks like a great solution for that ribbed edge. Huzzah! The blanket has been such an epic project - beautiful - it’s going to be stunning all stitched up.are you placing the designs in story order or in a pattern of your choice?
The Chinese waitress cast-on is decorative, I like it. I'm just placing the blanket squares in the order I crocheted them. It's going to look really nice. I hope you have a great summer!
Rice then Pringles? Boy, you made me hungry! I find choosing my size one of the toughest parts about sewing. That and my machine is buried under piles of books and folders from remote meetings. Thanks for the inspiration!
😂🤣 I try to take some measurements from the pattern pieces before I draw them, but still I don't always get the size right. And different fabrics work differently.
I enjoy seeing what you have sewn. I wish I had the energy to sew 52 projects in a year. The butterfly fabric is really pretty. Could you knit or crochet an insert to make the opening higher?
Thank you. I guess it would be possible to knit or crochet or even use some lace fabric for the neck opening of the blouse. I'll have to think about that. Thanks for the idea!
Nice to see you wearing your floral top, so pretty. I'm interested to learn how you plan to join your crochet squares as I have a bunch of scrap squares and am rather dreading the joining task. Enjoyed this video, thanks!
Your scenery was so pretty today, as well as all your projects- hooray for clearing off some old projects from the needles. I’ve been there before ( unpicking a bind off and taking yarn from one thing to finish off the other). The water Lily leg warmers were designed using a yarn that was distributed by a company that was based in my city , it closed a few years ago. I knew many of the house designers - the patterns were so nice. I’ve never knit with the water Lily yarn that the pattern used. I’ve been enjoying your book recommendations. Snow Blind is available through electronic loan from the Boston Public Library so I’m going to try it out ( in English) when I finish my latest book. I really appreciate your book suggestions thanks for adding it. Enjoy the added daylight and the warmer days. It is warmer here in Massachusetts but we did have snow flurries just a few days ago as well.
Hi Heather! What a coincidence with the legwarmers! I just liked the pattern and didn't even check which yarn it was meant for. Several Ragnar Jónasson's books have been translated into English and apparently they're pretty good. I intend to read more of them. I know there's one being published this spring in Finnish and I've already reserved it from the library. 😁 I'm glad you enjoy the recommendations. Take care!
You have such a nice choice of colours. Have you ever tried asking on Ravelry if anyone is willing to give up the yarn you are looking for? I hadn't realized that Novita had discontinued one yarn colour and I needed more. One woman was nice enough to send me some. Posti. I've started sending things 10 days in advance just to make sure. :)
I have asked people on Ravelry and actually did so this time also. I think I asked two Finns who had Drops Air color 10 in their stash but I didn't get a reply until I had already finished the leg warmers in another way.
Hi Robin! I noticed that the camera was out of focus on the bits that I recorded in gray weather, but that's just reality that we all are more or less out of focus on gray days. 😁
