As we hit the road, bidding farewell to our home, kids, and pets, we're embarking on an exhilarating journey of full-time travel. After years of meticulous planning and saving, we're finally ready to join the ranks of countless families living the dream on the road.
In 2020, like so many families, we faced some tough times, but it also got us thinking about what we really wanted out of life. That's when we decided to plan our big adventure across Australia. With our daughter all grown up, hitting the road seemed like the natural next step. But where to start? We turned to RU-vid for inspiration, soaking in videos of families living the dream we wanted to chase. Fast forward to 2023, and here we are, ready to explore not just Australia, but also the amazing places right in our own backyard.

You waste in the centre off Australia YOU have got to be near 21km near Finke Just 21km west of Finke, and 12km north of the road along a signposted track, is the Lambert Centre. The point

I’m doing this area in a couple of weeks and it’s my first solo outback trip. Just a couple of questions, firstly what was that supermarket you recommended before the Oodnadatta? And secondly I noticed some drone shots, are there any drone restrictions around there?

@@gettinglostdownunder yep. The Flinders, Oodnadatta track then probably down to the SA and VIC coast. I’ve changed my mind a few times but the Oodnadatta was always on my bucket list for my first outback adventure
So true & it’s a good time to test everything out on the van, looking at some towing courses. We’ve got the Big Red Bash coming up so that will test us with water usage, toilet & power. 🎉
My thoughts on the snorkel sock is you already have a air filter and the engine needs air so don't restricted it any more you should carry a air compressor so blow the filter out every 2 days and carry a spare filter and I'm a truck owner operator but retired now . Happy travels 😂

Hey guys yes we are in a semi off road van and we just drive to conditions. We put our tyres down to 25psi and taped up the vents. It is amazing. Do you have a dust reduction system.
Great video i went to Bingara a few weeks ago but did not camp, i could not find the camp sites where you camped any help on location would be great. Thanks.
The mounting points did it for us with this one you need at least 1300mm to mount but for another brand you need 1500mm apart to mount as a minimum hope this helps and also we have been using it for about 4 months and love it
I am just home from RAH emergency (pneumonia) and the medicos had the same convo with me ... I blithely replied , "oh yes, I have the donor thing signed on my licence." To which she replied , " ... that's for when you are dead." It sounds horrible but she said it with such a twinkle in her eye that I knew I was in good hands. Am so glad you are well again ... may it continue that way. And yes, 3 Cheers for the Flying doctors. :)
