I'm addicted to crafting and creating. I have been painting and selling furniture for about 10 years and now it's time to switch things up a bit. I love sewing and creating one of a kind upcycled clothing for women, and have just recently jumped head first into the amazing world of junk journals. It's like ....upcycling on paper ........ Taking scraps, paint, glue and sewing and combining them all to create a space for people to record their thoughts, feelings and art. What's not to love about this new crazy craft?
What a wonderful art book! Fantastic idea to use a children's board boo. Did you have to prep the pages 1st? i.e. sandpaper the pages? Also, what did you use to glue your images down? I love it! TYFS Cindy
@@csk5654 Thank you Cindy! I did sand a little bit but if you’re covering with paper scraps you don’t really have to do a ton of sanding. And I just used matte gel to glue the images down. Thanks so much for watching!
Oh, Lisa!!! So. Stinkin'. Cute.!!!!!! And , OH!, the artwork; on EVERY page I found myself looking deeper to see everything down to the last layer! AMAZING! You did SUCH a great job!!! There is absolutely nothing that I don't love about this project! KUDOS, sweet friend 👏😘
Lisa stop!! I love this journal 💕 why does it cost so much to post 😭😭 the effects, backgrounds, colours are gorgeous. Love this digital, must get on and buy it
@@-Lucy-H aww. Lucy!!! One of these days I’m gonna send you something! We just have to figure out the cost. Thank you for the kind words. You should email me your address so I can start to research the cost for shipping.
The bleach is exactly what was needed! Gave the jacket a finished look and blended the pocket areas in. Love what you did at the bottom back too. Also it has a slimming effect with the dark colors going down the front center. Great piece!
You did a great job, love your combination of the two, bleached denim and the fall colors in the middle, super cute! What was your bleaching method for this project? I ask because I love how you did it!
Looks really good. You have a great eye. It's interesting to see how other people see things. I happen to lean toward curvy things, so I really like the look of the plaid jacket's design with the curved placket. I might have used that curved portion as it was. But your final design is great, too, and the fact that the plaid didn't bleach doesn't bother me. Thanks for the video
Pockets on good quality clothing are sewn shut so that the fabric doesn’t stretch from people trying on the garment. Blazers, dress pants, coats and kick pleats most often. Just snip it open.
I haven't watched one of your upcycle vids because the LAST thing I need is to get bitten by THIS particular bug (it really speaks to so many things I am interested in) but dang, my art room is too full for another hobby! 😂 This is so fun to watch and live vicariously through your projects! Love the bleach! it's so retro and neat! 💜
@@TheHalfassCrafter well..Thanks for stopping by Laura!! I know that problem of being bitten by the bug… such as “glue booking”. But as it turns out, nobody wants to watch me do that, so who knows ….😩
So cute - and perfect for the season! 🍁 Thank you again for your time and energy producing these videos!!! 🙏🏼💕 Your tutorials helped make my first upcycle a success! It’s a logo tee with sleeves/sides from a flannel shirt, button placket ruffles at the bottom from the flannel and a men’s dress shirt. I added cuffs from dress shirt along the back sides to make more room in the booty area. I had SO much fun and will be wearing my creation to the ELO Final Tour concert tonight. 😁
@@shabbyroadstudio it looks fine as long as you don’t zoom in 🤣 Wore it to the concert last night and it was comfortable and didn’t come apart, so I consider that a win 😁 I’m not on social media, except for YT & Reddit. May I send you photos via Etsy message to your shop? Would that work?
What an awesome tribute, Lisa. I was 8 when this happened so although I had a basic understanding of death and that this was a very sad and scary time, I can't really say what was happening on a national or worldwide level. I just remember crying when they showed the photo of John saluting his father's coffin when it went past.
hello! i love the temu haul videos. re the donut punch... did you end up keeping it? i am wondering if the plastic thing is there to be a 'shim' when using paper? is the punch sharp enough to cut through thicker paper/fabric. like chipboard? thanks for making the video!
I loved ALL of this, Lisa; couldn't wait every morning to see what you were going to do 😁 It was all SO fun simply because you MADE it fun! 🤣. Thank you so much for sharing your time and creative talents with us; looking forward to see what you do next...you make my day with your humor and positive attitude❤🤗🙏
Great job Lisa 👍 loved looking back through all the days and their prompts. Btw havent heard my buddy Mr Rooster lately, hope he's doing ok, has he lost his voice? shame one of the prompts wasnt rooster or chicken 😂
@@-Lucy-H thanks Lucy!! Oh yes… we have 2 loud roosters ! It’s getting chilly here now so my windows aren’t always open anymore! Nicer for a quieter video! 😂🤣
Love the star plugged in! The brush could have been brushing starlight on the waffles maybe, or maple syrup!!😂 will miss your collage pages, can't wait to see what your next project will be 😊
