Since Lane Stadium opened in 1965 The Hokies are 38-16-1 vs the Hoovies. 19 W in the Burg and 19 W at Lane Stadium East. The tie, 14-14, was in Lane in 1977. Tech has lost 10 times in Cville and 6 in The Burg. Most points scored in the series, 55 on Saturday eclipsing the previous high of 52, which happened twice, both by the Hokies. Hoovies highest point total was in 1992, 41 and 1994, 42. Eight shutouts, 6 Hokies, 2 Hoovies....Tech pitched as shutout 4 of the six times at Lane Stadium East. The largest was 48-0 in 1983. If I recall, fans stormed the field and tore down the goal posts. Both times the Hoovies shut out the Hokies occurred in Cville. Hoovies last pitched a shutout in 1991 and prior to that was 1971. Tech's most recent shut out of the Hoovies in 2017, 10-0. Since joining the ACC, Tech is 18-1 against the Hoovies. The lone loss coming in 2019 in Cville.

Virginia Techs Athletic Director is a complete and absolute moron for not hiring Shane Beamer as head coach once Frank Retired. Shane just beat Clemson and has his team highly ranked. Whit Babcock is a dumbass.
