Can't believe I got to witness this! not a fan of Robby, he sealed his fate on pikes peak with his mouth, but man these were the days!! Group B boys! Fak!
Bobby Unser wouldn’t accept being beaten by a WOMAN, but Michele offered him a challenge race back down the hill. Mr Unser declined the challenge. The following year he drove her Audi to break the record, but Audi returned with a German driver Walter Rohrl to smash his record
I wish Willy T would have just stuck with Trans-Am and IMSA. The races were so much better when he was in the field ... I get it though, he was chasing a dream
GRABÉ IS THE BEST VEZINA TROPHY WINNER SINCE HIS DEATH WISH STAR WARS VS IN HIS FIRST PLAYOFF GAME SINCE WINNING HIS SECOND CONSECUTIVE PLAYOFF APPEARANCE
Walter was in development and was only a substitute driver for Stuck. He always found circuits boring compared to rallying. But he drove almost everything that had 4 wheels, until today at the age of 76. Also mountain bike and skis. Professionals look bad there.
@apollinarumrestriger6663 Walter didn't want to become champion and it wasn't the order he had from Audi. He was responsible for development and was only supposed to help the other pilots. Haywood should be champion. Point. He was the most complete driver of his time, regardless of the car. Rally drivers are the best.
@@apollinarumrestriger6663He always just wanted to drive perfectly! If he won a stage but didn't drive two corners well, then he was annoyed. He always said I was a rally driver and not a racing driver. He didn't enjoy doing the same laps over and over again. He is special, even today. Young drivers are still being told, at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, for example.
Thanks for uploading this. Just showed my mom and sister. That's me on tenor sax, second to the right. If I remember correctly, we were invited to play on a very short notice. Mr. Timmerman wasn't able to attend, so Kevin Hinshaw directed us. We nailed it. Met JP Patches too afterwards on the escalator. Triumphant night for us that evening.
