I spooled it with 8 LB test mono for lighter lures, gave it some practice casts and found that it did cast well ru-vid.comUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e , except that the anti-backlash setting had to be turned up almost all of the way to keep the "overcasts' ' down. I disassembled it, and found that if I potted some "shim washers" behind that anti-backlash magnet assembly, it got the magnets closer to the spool without rubbing, and I could get better control with about a 6 to 7 out out 10-Max setting. I also noticed that the handle shaft had some internal end play, maybe only 2 or 3 thousands of an inch, but it's still noticeable. If the anti-backlash and shaft tolerances were "tightened up" this would be a fantastic value. I've only used it for 4 days of fishing in a month's time, but I plan on keeping it.
Hi Edmund, remember me? Think we met at Tanjong Rhu when there wasn’t much trees around. I was using a Zziplex n my fren using a Century. Was it you? Haha
If you install a servo motor relay (from graves racing) it takes care of the error code. Also, you get better throttle response if you adjust the TPI ahead to 19-20 (check diagnostics on the computer)
hi edmund i was there together with hamid kuala as spectator it was a gd event well done hopefully we can see more casting tournaments like many years back where overseas casters from japan, taiwan n philipines came to marina open field for the tournament if i can remember there is a plug casting tournament held here too but it was a long time ago
bought a penn reel with custom rod kinda heavy duty saltwater set up I'm assuming. bit of a rookie only have used spinning reels and fucks sake I need help casting this thing. any input would be helpful
a 9/0 what, hook? and if you mean 100Ib mainline with and 8oz lead i'm sorry but I don't believe you! where is the evidence mate? have u got a vid that I could watch so you can prove me wrong?
I don't understand, yeah, you can cast far, but even if you slide bait out to your lead, your still not capable of reeling in the big monsters because all you guys take out the magnets and anything that reduces drag. That is what let's you fight and tire the fish out. If anything large bites, you will have to rather the spool with your thumb and your mechanisms inside will burn out fast, due to missing of pieces. It looks cool though, but I'm just as capable with casting any other conventional 5.0 or smaller almost just as far without modifying. The difference though is my intention is to catch fish, not just for looks. I'm not talking trash, as I'm trying to take some techniques from the Euro casting Tourneys, but if I take my magnets out and modify like you guys, the fish will spool me, guarantee. So based on your exp, what kind of reel do you prefer as I see that there is a different selection all around the world.
Syam get a life. You are nothing but a trolling shit talking instigator. Get a life. So 11 months ago. What a loser! The magnets control tension. My point was that some people modify their reels for max casting distance but you sacrifice certain things to boost up another. You should anaylize things before you open you fat fucking mouth you loser.
Please please please could you translate in french this vidéo for me i would Like to realize this modification on my bike but i dont understund your english or write it in inglish in a commenter
